"They helped us move an entire kitchen including large appliances. The sent 3 movers who completed the job quickly and took very good care of our items. Very professional and reasonably priced. Would definitely hire again."

"Anthony, Albert and Njah Leslie were the team of movers assigned to us. They were prompt on arrival and presented friendly and positive attitudes. They took pride in their job and were very carful, many of the items were heavy, large and awkward to move. They worked efficiently as a team and finished the job in less time than expected. We were very pleased with this team of gentlemen and would most certainly request them again for any future moves."

"My wife and I hired Moving Proz to assist us move all of our "big" stuff including tables, chairs, shelves, couches, beds, and a piano, etc to our new home.  We originally thought there would be 3 movers, but 2 guys show up on time.  You could tell these guys had done this kind of work once or twice.  The 2 movers got everything out of our townhouse and into our new home under 4 hours.  Also, the cost was HALF what we originally thought we were going to pay which was a pleasant surprise.

I would definitely recommend Moving Proz for any move that you'd like to have complete."

"We had to clear out our garage for door replacement. We stored everything into a POD in the drive. We hired this company through POD people at a flat rate. They came to unpack the POD and place the shelving, contents and cabinets in the garage. They were great. The two gentlemen were punctual and efficient. They listened to where we wanted stuff and actually did it. The weather wasn't the greatest that day, but they took care that our items remained in good condition. They were good natured and patient. They even followed up with all our involved directions. For instance we had to jockey things around to get the shelves in, and then they had to be re-arranged to place a cabinet.
No complaints, no eye-rolling. Just friendly helpfulness. Wow!
This was a flat rate for a specific amount of time, minimum 3 hours. They finished early and offered to help with any other moving, rearranging projects we had around the house or in the yard.

"My fiancé and I moved from Missouri to Massachusetts. The move was somewhat last-minute, and we wanted to move to our new apartment ASAP. This company was the one who was able to get us there the fastest, and they were very polite and eager to work with us, so we went with them. This was our first big move, let alone our first cross-country move, so we lacked experience. Pros: -the movers were consistently respectful, easy to talk with, and very hard workers. -they moved our belongings quickly, and they made it to our destination in two days. Cons: -they majorly underestimated the size truck that we would need. We sent them pictures of our belongings, and they told us we would need a 16 foot box truck. However, it was way too small. They were unable to bring a lot of our furniture, which was really disappointing. They were unable to fit our nightstands, end tables, bookshelves, and dining & patio chairs. Not only did we have to rebuy all this furniture once we moved, but we had to figure out how to get rid of it all last minute, when we wanted to use that time to drive to our new home. -As we unpacked, we realized that some of the furniture pieces that we were able to bring were damaged in some way- chipped/dented/scratched. Nothing major, but still disappointing. **If this review was just about their positive attitudes and hard work ethic, it would be a 5/5. Unfortunately, overall, our already stressful cross-country move was made more stressful with having to pick and choose last-minute which furniture we were able to bring. The positive thing is that my fiancé and I learned a lot from this experience, and we now know what to look for with moving companies in the future."

"These guys were incredible. As soon as they arrived it was "let's go" and they never stopped. They had a plan for everything from how to move it safely to how to pack the truck efficiently. What I also found so impressive was the day of our move I had to call and reschedule as we weren't ready to go! Jeremy approached it with a "no problem" attitude and got us on the schedule for the next day when they were already all booked! They even offered to help pack! I'd recommend them to anyone and use them over and over again! Thanks guys.

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, many office moving costs are tax deductible, but only businesses are eligible to deduct moving expenses on their taxes. Personal moves, such as relocating for a new job or moving from an apartment to a house, are not deductible.

However, not all business taxes are deductible by that business. Deductible business moving expenses are limited to the direct costs associated with relocating office supplies and equipment. This process encompasses brokerage fees for securing a new location, space surveys, packing, loading, transportation, and unpacking. Costs related to moving employees or other indirect expenses are not eligible for tax deductions.

There are several effective ways to save money when hiring a moving company, primarily by handling some tasks yourself and being strategic with scheduling. Consider these methods:

  • Pack Your Own Belongings: You can significantly reduce costs by packing and protecting your items yourself. This includes wrapping delicate items, organizing them into boxes, and taping the boxes closed. You can use towels, clothes, and suitcases to pack belongings and protect breakables.

  • Provide Your Own Materials: Source free packing materials from friends and family, or reuse boxes and bubble wrap from a previous move.

  • Schedule Strategically: Book your move well in advance. Rates are often lower if you schedule your move on a weekday during the off-season, which typically runs from October through April.

  • Compare Quotes: Get moving quotes from at least three professional movers in your area. This allows you to compare services and choose the best value.

  • Ask for Discounts: Inquire if the moving company offers any special coupons or deals.

  • Purchase Moving Insurance: Protect your investment by purchasing moving insurance, especially for expensive or antique belongings.

  • Divide the Labor: While you can save money by packing, it's wise to leave the more dangerous and physically demanding work—like loading, unloading, and moving heavy furniture—to the professionals.

Since mirrors are fragile, it’s important to find an experienced moving company that can properly move fragile items. You should always consider online reviews and testimonials. If you don’t know where to start, these tips to hiring the best movers can help.

The level of difficulty for this type of move depends on the size of the safe. However, even a small gun safe can weigh several hundred pounds. Since gun safes are large and bulky, they are typically difficult to move and transport unless you have the right equipment and plenty of professional help.

Plastic bins are excellent alternatives to moving boxes. They’re more durable than the traditional cardboard. Have any unused suitcases? Those can make for great storage solutions for your long-term needs. Avoid plastic bags or anything that doesn’t allow for breathability.
