Customers say: True professional

"David, Chris, Bo and Zack did an amazing job on painting our lower level. They split up the work getting the trim and walls prepped and painted over 5 days. David imparted tips on how to deal with scrapes and marks, as well as how to paint doors. They vacuumed when done and removed all they had brought in. We would highly recommend them for a class A job, no doubt!"

Small jobs welcome

"I used them a year ago to paint my house. They did such an outstanding job I used them to paint 3500 sq. Ft. Interior. We had 25 ft. Tall walls and curved staircases. Steve not only painted, but also offered to change lightbulbs that we couldnâ  t get too. He was very trustworthy, on time, and worked a full day. Highly recommend."

"I was disappointed in the hassle in getting a firm bid for the overall paint project. The initial painting project estimate started out around $2,000 and final cost about $3,200. During the initial walkthrough, I had pointed out the ceiling water spots in three second floor rooms. I had also pointed out that the main floor kitchen bath wall needing re-mudding attention. Neither was included initially but was and-add on costs. Also, after getting the final estimate, I found a 10% coupon on CertPro website. When I inquired about applying the 10% coupon, I was told that the 10% was already included. How could it be included when it was detailed in the estimates? I was insulted by this response! Most companies would have applied the 10% coupon. Also, I found it was odd that I was charge $200 for moving furniture. It would have been impractical for to me to move the furniture by myself. Whereas most painting companies would had moved the furniture without the additional charge. Overall, we were pleased with paint project. The upstairs bedrooms, bath and master bedroom suite and bath were painted well. The kitchen still has the old paint showing around the roof and floor broads edging. These areas were mentioned at least four times and done partially each time. After a while, my wife said to leave it alone."

Painting questions, answered by experts

If you paint a vinyl fence, it will likely stick to it for only a brief amount of time. This is because vinyl is not a porous material, so it's not an ideal surface for holding paint. Initially, paint will stick to your fence, but it will eventually peel off. Applying primer before painting your vinyl fence will help paint last longer. Certain primers are well-suited to vinyl, which means you can paint vinyl siding with the proper preparation.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

You should repaint your fence every 1 to 3 years, depending on the appearance of wear and tear. Weather and usage will factor into how often you should paint another coat on your fence. If you need to replace a few fence boards or posts, you may want to consider repainting the fence to help protect the rest of the fence as well as the new pieces against damage and deterioration from being exposed to the elements.

Maintain your wattle fence by inspecting it at least twice per year for loose weaving and degrading branches. Replace any seriously degraded sections, ensure water drains properly around the posts, and trim any sprouting branches if you used green wood. If you notice the weave loosening, you can often tighten it by gently pushing down on the top branches. You can also apply a natural wood preservative every two to three years to extend the fence's lifespan.

Adding a second coat of stain to wood can even out the color to some extent, but it won't drastically alter the hue if the initial application is too light or too dark. It's more effective at enhancing the richness of the color rather than significantly changing it. Ensure the first coat is dry before applying the second.
