"After looking at several company's  comparing countertop choices, colors, advise given and price I felt they were the team most qualified to do a quality project.  Quality was the most important factor for me.  ParaMount Granite Company showed me many samples of granite on site comparing it to my floor sample and cabinet color.  They were helpful and patient with me trying to make up my mind. The installers were very professional, there seams between cuts, corners and back splash are clean, straight and tight.  Everything went very smoothly in a timely matter.  Everyone was friendly and professional.  Turned out beautiful.  Quality work."

"The work was very well done, we are very pleased with the results.  Chris worked with us on several options for the tile, even made a sample of concrete as that was an option.  Email was a little slow as we communicated the options and price but we were able to work that out for a final tile design and price.  The work was done very quickly, we did run into a problem with how the tile was done on one fireplace and they came back immediately to fix the problem.  Chris went out of his way to go the the fireplace store to understand how the front facing worked so he could fix the problem.  We thought the price was competitive with other bids we received.  Finish product is high quality.  Work place was well cleaned when they finished.

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Quartz countertops are known for their durability, but they aren’t indestructible. Quartz countertops can crack under extreme pressure, like when experiencing a heavy impact. The same can happen with regular exposure to high temperatures. Finally, improper installation makes the quartz more vulnerable.

Use a pH-balanced cleaner, avoid abrasive materials, and reseal porous stones like granite annually to maintain durability.

It is not recommended to put a hot pan directly on a marble countertop. While marble is heat-resistant, it is not completely heat-proof, and extreme or prolonged exposure to high heat can cause discoloration, cracking, or chipping. Pans may also scratch or nick the surface. To protect your countertop and maintain its integrity, always use trivets or hot pads. Note that faux marble finishes do not resist heat and require protection from hot items at all times.

It all comes down to rarity and demand. Granite rocks with unique patterns or rare colorways like red, purple, and blue are more expensive than traditional designs. Some types of blue granite are extremely rare, like Azul Aran and Blue Bahia, driving the price up even further. The most expensive type of all is a unique design called Van Gogh granite. As the name suggests, it sort of looks like a painting.

Common issues include cracks, stains, scratches, and chips. These can occur from impacts, spills, or improper maintenance. Addressing them promptly can prevent further damage and maintain the countertop’s aesthetic and functional integrity.
