"How did it go? It was one of the best, well-run projects we've ever had done. Brian presented excellent ideas on what we may want to consider, then skillfully executed on the plan from there. Brian and the entire crew with Environmental Design are top notch, second to none. Years back, we hired Brian and Team to complete a major front-yard project. It went so well, we didn't think twice about hiring Environmental Design again. Our first and only call was to Brian! Brian, due to his background and expertise at what he does, makes the process "enjoyable" and "care-free". Brian starts a project when he says he will and completes the project right on time. His estimating, layout and project planning and execution skills are excellent. Brian is also a very, very, very nice person to work with at all times. Same with his Team. No surprise they've been together for a long time. While placing boulders, the team is expert and very precise. They performed that task for both the front and back yard projects. They care for your existing yard, by placing plywood down while entering and exiting the property. They clean the site daily, to ensure you're well taken care of at all times. They begin project days right on time (very consistent and predictable), which we appreciated. Plant selection (to ensure one will have color all year long) and layout/presentation of those plants is an excellent skill Brian and Environmental Design possess. They also recommended and we acted on it, a dripline irrigation system which runs right off the automated system. Press a button and all the plants are watered on the hillside!!! So glad we did that. "After visiting their Carlisle showroom, Sid Tyler came to our home with samples of their proprietary solid surface material to discuss our Master Bath Renovation project. He offered a wealth of helpful design suggestions to increase our shower size, the addition of niches and Delta hardware selection. After accepting his on-site quote, work was scheduled 60 days out when we met Ryan Epps, our on-site project manager. Ryan was amazing, courteous, professional and willing to answer all our "in-process" questions. Main scope of work involved fiberglass shower and adjacent wall demo and the new wall material installation was completed in a week's time with only the custom glass shower doors installed later. Each day, the worksite was thoroughly cleaned. Workmanship was outstanding and we love our new master bath shower and LVT flooring. I would highly recommend Clear Choice Bath and both Sid and Ryan for your bathroom project"

"We have a beautiful outcome but we did 75% of the sanding of the deck and 25% of the patio furniture to meet our quality standards. We were told they were meeting industry standards which we did not believe. There were many late arrivals and even two no shows on the part of his subcontractor. The owner was responsive to our complaints but when he saw we could make the deck wood look new by dedicating time to sanding he did concede we were right. Based on the age alone at first we did not feel he agreed it could be achieved. After his subcontractor left we would go over his sanding even of the patio furniture. We were told all boards that needed replacement were part of the estimate but we had to find them, usually after our finger would pop through in order for him to finally change out all of the rotting boards. He took before and after pics, telling us after the fact for advertising, they are not accurate of his subcontractors work. And despite putting in a combined 32 hours of hard labor sanding, as the owners, we were offered no discount for how this all played out. His subcontractor did two things well, power wash and staining. But he used no eye for detail like we had been promised ahead of time. We will consider hiring the owner for future jobs if he does the work himself but never again with a subcontractor."

"I have a very old (almost 100 year old) house that I hired them to refinish the hardwood floors. What made this a 2 star and not a 5 star is the serious lack of communication. Paul was out many times (around 5 or so) to see what myself and my family were doing to get the house ready. Since it?s old there were 2 closets and the entry that had a tar paper on them. I had always let Paul know this and that was not an issue until the day that his son and grandson showed up to do the work. Then his son, Kevin tried backing out of it. I had to call Paul and talk to him about the issue. The work got done in the end but I have no idea why Paul didn?t take pictures or let Kevin know of the problem areas to show him before the contract was signed. Also wasn?t made aware I might have to pay more until he came for the last check. Nothing on the contract stated there could be add on for work, but he was asking for more because of the closets and entry. I paid what was agreed to by contract only."
