Worm Farms of Minnesota raises African Night Crawlers and harvests the manure/castings, and bags and sells this highly environmentally friendly Organic Fertilizer. We sell our Worm Castings at Farmers Markets and through the internet. At Worm Farms Of Minnesota we take pride in raising our worms, housing them in a climate controlled environment. We use only the finest peat moss bedding and we only use top quality natural grain food. This assures you of the finest organic worm castings and the healthiest worms available. We don’t feed our worms manure of any kind nor do we feed them any food scraps, newspaper or cardboard. When men and women come out of prison two of their biggest challenges are finding employment and establishing a stable social environment. Three of us formed and operate WFOM; 2 retired guys, with more than 30 years of volunteer service mentoring men in prison and ex-offenders on the outside, and an ex-offender who has been a productive member of society since 2005. Our plan is to have 20-30 ex-offenders (both full time and part time) on staff by the end of 2016. WFOM will employ people for 24-36 months, and then help them find a career path of their choosing. WFOM is a revolving door employer providing our employees with a mentoring program to help them become good citizens, an employment track record with skills and recommendations assure their next employer of the type of person they are hiring. WFOM is a zero tolerance employer that requires commitment and action. We expect the best in order to achieve the best.
