Rock Gardens

The rock was delivered the same day as ordered and was dropped in the area where the rock would go, so we didn't have to haul it very far.

Great.

I ordered the river rock to be delivered on a Monday and spent the prior Friday thru Sunday I kept going back and puchasing around 700 lbs of small boulders (8") which I haulded myself over a 3 day period as my project expanded. The pricing was much better than the competition that I checked on, but the thing I was most impressed by was the level of service and attention I received. The  management and all staff I came in contact with were extremely helpful and accomodating. Definitely an enjoyable experience! 

Everything was deliverd on schedule, exactly as requested.

Rock Gardens always answered the phone, gave me a price over the phone, and delivered as expected.  Their dirt is tested and is good quality -- plants are growing well there.  The driver tried to get his truck as close as possible to the site where I needed the dirt.  I still had to move dirt, but it was much less work than if he had just dumped it in the driveway. 

The person I ordered from seemed a little rushed all the time, but I got what I wanted when I wanted it.  

We have never been good DIY'ers, but wanted to save a little money by putting in a patio ourselves.  The staff at Rock Gardens were very helpful.  Once we had the square footage and selected the pavers we wanted, they provided us with a worksheet telling us exactly what we needed from the class 5, to pavers, to stakes and edging.. The pavers were no more expensive, and may have been even a little cheaper than Home Depot. We ordered everything at once and then they staged delivery of what we needed, when we needed it.  We rented a gas powered tamper from them for a flat fee, and then were able to take it, use it, and return it as we needed throughout the project.  If we had questions, they were extremely helpful in answering them.  Once the patio was in, I got my landscaping plants there as well.  While not marked down like Bachman's or Home Depot, they are big, beautiful, contractor grade plants.  The entire project, start to finish took about 2 weeks working in our spare time.

The end result is that our patio is beautiful! Without their help, we could not have done this as well, or as quickly.  We would not hesitate to use them again for our next project.

I can't remember what they charged. It is a sort of a mom and pop type store. It is big but I believe it is family owned. Their prices are definitely a lot better than some of the bigger places. I think their prices are good. They are very friendly and they are very helpful. They are not pretentious at all. They are eager to help you out. They are probably better for a layman. I would use them in the future if I needed to.

They delivered the dirt the same day I called even though it was the Friday before the Fourth of July. The dirt was great and the driver was nice.

Bought rocks and mulch from them. Good advice and good recomendations and good service. I would highly recommend them and they are a lot cheaper than other stone companies.
