I have been doing concrete work since i was 18 years old right of school. took some time off to hit the road and explore, but i decided too get back into something i have pride and joy over.

If you wish to break up a cracked or broken paver for removal, you can use a hammer or mallet and a chisel to fragment the paver. As you’re working, be careful not to disturb surrounding pavers; the key is to work slowly and steadily and remove the broken pieces gently. You should also wear a mask and goggles to ensure that no dust gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth as you work.

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A 500-square-foot driveway can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $35,000, depending on the type of pavers you choose. Grass and concrete pavers are more affordable, while stone and cobblestone pavers are on the higher end of that price range. You’ll save some money by DIYing the installation, though we highly recommend sticking with a professional for this type of driveway installation.

Three inches is a great thickness for a residential asphalt driveway that sees minimal to moderate traffic from cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks. However, a thicker driveway can better withstand the weight of a heavier vehicle, such as a trailer or a recreational vehicle. If you drive a heavy vehicle on a thin driveway, you risk cracking and damaging it.
