"I went with Higgins based on reputation and examples of their work in town. They did an excellent job remodeling the exterior of our modest 1950s rambler and detached garage. Our home had the original painted cedar shakes still in place and windows that were a mix of old and newer home depot specials. The gutters were leaking and the garage was looking a bit tired! Mike Higgins was my main contact. I had him come out to estimate a price for siding and windows only, but it soon became clear we were looking at a total exterior remodel. It took time to get buy in from the wife on such a time consuming and expensive project, but no one can argue with the result: neighbors referring to our property as "beautiful" and saying "it looks like [you] built a new house and new garage." Mike came out to measure the windows in January. It took time for me to decide on the siding look and color (wanted something that would not fade) and to get into the schedule. They started work in mid-April. Brought in dumpster. Tore off old siding and doors. Wrapped the house and garage. Lifted the garage and replaced the original rafters. Replaced windows and basement windows. Put on the trim, fascia, soffits and gutters. Install new lights and door buzzer. All first class, quality MN products installed by seasoned professionals.
