Properly prepared and applied concrete resurfacing can last from 10 to 15 years. The longevity of resurfaced concrete depends on proper preparation as well as the fundamental condition of the original concrete. Depending on the application used to resurface the concrete, reapplying a protective sealer every two to three years can extend the life of the new concrete surface.

Yes, you can repair a cracked concrete patio, although the type of repair and the cost will depend on the type of crack you’re experiencing. You can seal surface cracks yourself for as little as $15 for some concrete crack filler. Uneven or wide cracks may indicate structural issues and require help from professionals. In these cases, costs can climb as high as {MaxCost}, so it’s possible but somewhat expensive to repair.

If your concrete steps have crumbled or chipped, you can fix them by removing any chips or flakes, cleaning and wetting the affected area, applying a concrete bonding agent, and finally applying new concrete, usually in the form of Portland cement. Dry pour concrete is easier to apply, but in order for new concrete to adhere to old concrete, it needs the right mixture for slow, uniform curing. Additionally, dry pour concrete is less durable and less resistant to cracking and concrete sinking, so dry pouring over an existing slab may result in surface imperfections appearing prematurely.
