"We had just moved into a new house and ran the dishwasher for the first time only to find water seeping out all over the hardwood floors!  We ran one more load just to be sure it was the dishwasher, which it was.  We called two companies for a quote.  I left a message with SOS, but they returned my call probably within 15 minutes.  The gal on the phone was extremely helpful.  She told me what it would cost for the service call and then explained the Angie's List discount, which I had already seen online.  Whereas the other company was scheduling a whole week out, she said they happened to have a serviceman, Cory, who was in a neighboring town and who was finishing his work route early that day, so he had one more opening.  He was at our house within 20 minutes.  He got on the floor and discovered right away that the drain hose was cracked and needed to be replaced.  We approved the repair and he had it up and running, including testing for leaks with the new hose installed, within an hour.  We ran another load tonight and there's no leaking.  Thank you, Cory!"

"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."

"Paul responded very quickly to our initial request for a visit and was very patient answering the many questions we had during the bidding process. We solicited three bids and Paul's was the winner from a price and value for service perspective. Paul is very easy to work with and we just liked his personality. That played a big part in the decision. The work done is gorgeous. Removing the popcorn ceilings in the lower level and replacing with knockdown was a terrific move. I haven't found a flaw in them yet! Paul made sure all work was done in the time frame we gave him even working until late one evening to make sure painting was done before carpet installers were scheduled the following day. Because we were out of state, they worked with us to ensure that our local representative could be available to accept delivery.  Installation was very professional.  We were so satisfied with the service, that we also purchased a front-loading washer and dryer.

"The people they sent out came out, they came out , I think about 4 or 5 different times. I talked with the technicians and said, "this is ridiculous, the furnace is old" and he said, "we agree, but they only want to do the patching". They would patch it and it would break, they would patch it, and it would break. Finally, I said, "I want a new furnace. What do we have to do to do a new furnace. You've been out here, this is like the 6th time," and he said, "I'll have my manager write something up", and so they did and they replaced the furnace. They tried. They were more interested in patching things than replacing things. They were willing to send out 4 or 5 different parts. The things that I see that would help the most is if it were easier to get a hold of them on the phone or if their website worked. Just being able to contact someone in person. Sometimes, you can't explain everything online. We were able to get a hold of them, we were able to talk to them. It just takes some time, they had to jump through the hoops with their company, we understood that, but they came through and got us a new furnace. A nice new furnace too."
