There were pretty severly worn with visible traffic patterns and some stains. It did not appear the carpets had been cleaned in a long while. We had first attempted to use a rug-doctor ourselve, with unsatisfactory results. We had Jeff (owner of the company) come by and clean two living rooms downstairs and the stair case as a trial, and we liked the result so much we had him come back to do the upstairs bedrooms and hallway. He even came by on a saturday morning to accomodate our very busy weekday schedules. The carpets obvisouly dont look brand new, but it is a significant improvement. This has definitely changed our minds about needing to replace the carpet in the near future."
