"Bill McClellan was one of three bidders, all of them well recommended and straightforward.  It was a close call, but I chose McClellan because he volunteered three options for how to treat my foundation blocks, which I had not thought to ask about.  I contracted separately with a sandblasting firm to have the house sandblasted.  McClellan coordinated with the sandblasters and put up the scaffolding for both purposes.  The job was done quickly and well.  The combination of scaffolding and sandblasting was quite destructive to the ground cover on part of our landscape; I don't think this could have been avoided.  Re-stuccoing is an expensive proposition (the sandblasting added another $2600), but it has psychological rewards, because the house ends up looking so much better."

"The cost was very competitive and they were on time. They also were able to adjust work on site to fix an unexpected problem during the installation; and complete the installation as promised."

"Every part of the project was a thoroughly professional experience from the quote to review of the completed siding. These are the business and trades people that you dream of finding when you do not have a reference from friends or family. William's demeanor and questions at the sales quote visit immediately showed his experience and competence. Project supervisor Nick was an excellent communicator and a skilled tradesman. The crew was friendly, polite and did an excellent job installing James Hardy siding and aluminum soffit with fascia. It looks great and feels even better with lower heating bills already. Jennifer in the office kept us informed and updated. Contract, price, materials, labor, service and completion review were all outstanding. They also went above and beyond to demolish and build a new deck in time for a summer ending birthday party. I would not hesitate to call them for our next project and neither should you."

"We hired RetroGreen to install foamed-in-place insulation in our house, which was built in 1960, with only 2" of wall insulation. For most houses, which have horizontal siding, installation is fairly simple. Our house has vertical board and batten siding, which makes the project more difficult. The installer can't simply remove a couple of courses of siding, do the work, and replace the siding. One approach for board and batten siding is to drill holes through the boards and insert plugs after installing the insulation. No matter how carefully this is done, I suspect the result would be visually unacceptable, with rows of obvious plugs around the house. Instead, I asked them to drill holes only behind the battens. I removed all of the battens, first marking the sides, RetroGreen skillfully drilled their holes within the lines, so when I replaced the battens, all of the holes were concealed. In one small area, that didn't work, so they provided plugs that closely matched the siding boards. Chris was quite helpful throughout the process, discussing options and making suggestions. The team was professional and efficient, providing protection and cleaning up on completion. The result is excellent; there is no visual evidence of the installation."

"After a little glitch, my husband called Dabella and Dustin reached out to us, he went above and beyond to help us get a new roof. He was professional and kind helped us get the best financing and got our roof installed before the snow started flying. We had a new roof and gutters installed. Everything looks awesome. "The crews did a great job with re-roofing my garage, repairing the wood and metal trim around my garage door and replacing a seal. Their pricing was comparable to other estimates, but their proactive communication and responsiveness to my questions along with their follow-through until solid completion is significantly better than most other contractors I have had over my years of home ownership. Kris, the owner, was excellent to work with, and I would heartily recommend them based on my experience."

"Great attention to detail! Very easy to work with HW team. The actual installers were an excellent team and did outstanding work. They completed the job in a week - from demolition to completion. Also, excellent follow-up from the management team. It was a pleasure working with Ryan and Tim...both were very responsive! I would recommend Hoffman Weber without hesitation."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

The entire window replacement process, from the initial consultation to the final installation, typically takes between four and 15 weeks. This timeline accounts for measuring appointments, ordering, and manufacturing. On the day of the job, the physical installation takes about 30 minutes to two hours per window. A full-house replacement can take one to three days to complete. Factors that can extend this timeline include the total number of windows, custom sizes, complex window types, second-story installations, and any necessary repairs to existing window frames or openings.

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Expect excavation below grade, creating a well for access, weatherproofing, and thorough inspections during setup.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.
