"We started in the spring. Greg came out to assess my falling apart garage. He tore down the old garage and replaced it. As it is an attached garage, it was quite a process. Everything went very well. There were some delays due to weather, but that is understandable. Overall, I am thrilled with my new garage and so happy that Greg was also able to redo the sidewalk and steps to my front door. The work is holding up beautifully and Greg and his crews were great to work with."

"I've completed two projects with Sunset and Barrier Exteriors. The first project was an attempt to repair my stucco walls in the areas where testing showed water damage. After that project didn't go as planned, I hired Barrier to remove all my stucco and replace it with Hardie siding. The nature of the stucco repair process is that it is impossible to know what is under the stucco or what it will cost to repair in total. It's also practically impossible to match stucco perfectly. Sunset/Barrier will advise you to take those risks seriously in considering your options, and you should. On my project, Sunset/Barrier did a great job on the work they performed, but the demolition revealed far more moisture damage than the testing originally showed. Sunset/Barrier was very fair with me throughout that very challenging process. When it was finally determined that there was simply too much damage to continue with the repair strategy, they gave me a very fair proposal to re-side the house that took into consideration the work that they had already done for me. A big part of the stucco tear-off and replacement process is repairing the damaged areas where water damage has occurred. Even where there is no existing damage, the housewrap and flashing details under the siding are as important than the siding itself to preventing water damage to a house. Barrier has excellent carpenters who do this work. In addition to doing great work, the crew is thoughtful and professional. I reviewed their work almost every day and was consistently impressed. The siding installation went smoothly and looks great. Sunset/Barrier was consistent and fair throughout the process. My house looks fantastic -- I've had a lot of compliments on the new look. I have recommended Sunset/Barrier them to friends and neighbors for siding projects and will do so in the future. They are excellent to work with and I'm glad I had them on my project."

"After the storm came through the Minneapolis, Minnesota I was worried about the immediate influx of contractors. I waited and waited, searched and searched until all of the "fly by storm" contractors had left the area. When the clouds parted and everyone was gone there was Joe with Hoffman Weber construction. I found them at the U.S. Bank home improvement show they had. From the beginning they were professional, honest and extremely flexible. Joe came out to my house, worked with my insurance let me know what needed to be done and what could wait. The crew was timely, professional and quick. They did my house and garage roofs (different buildings) in one day. They worked with my schedule and met up with me to go through the warranty. The project manager went around the house looking for any issues and any nail left behind. I have had other contractors say they were going to "come back and check on clean up" and never heard from them again. This company sees it through to the end. They took care of the permits and even called the city inspector. When the city inspector came to the house they told me that 80% of the houses getting storm damage repair were failing inspection. What was worse is that they could not longer get a hold of the contractors. Hoffman Weber was there from start to finish and ensured that they were just down the road if anything should come up. I will be working with them again in the future!"

"One structure in the form of a arbor with a gate completed our fence.
     The other structure a small deck outside of the lower sliding glass doors, with a pergola added,
     gives a quiet shady respite to the yard.
      We also had Hal design and build a fountain feature added to the garden area itself.  Which gives a soft
      and flowing water sound near the small deck.
      The work overall is outstanding with a very finished look.  It was also accomplished as per estimate of
       time and cost.  They were very considerate to make the work space neat and clean each day at finish
       time.
     
       We would "highly" recommend these contractors to anyone wanting this type of excellent yard work done.

"Greene Construction Inc was amazing. The best contractor I have ever had and will use them again for sure.
First they installed the egress window for us and the next day came back to build a pine wall and door so our middle child could have his own bedroom.
It took two full days and it was worth it. Both mornings they showed up at 8 AM and worked until it was done. They cleaned up well after the work was done as well.
The company is great and I recommend them to all.
TJ and Gary do great work and are really nice guys and they know what they are doing.

He was on vacation when I first contact him and he got back to me right away to set up a meeting. A contractor that actually wants business - finally!

"All the workers that came to our house were efficient, helpful and reasonably on time.  But the company office appeared to be poorly organized to respond if something out of the ordinary occurred.  The inspecting and cleaning of chimneys was done quickly and cleanly.  The installation of the wood burning insert was scheduled in 2 steps.  First the unit would be installed, then a week later another person would perform first start-up and explain how to use and maintain it.  When the installers arrived they discovered the box had been opened and several parts were missing.  They called store right away and left a message.  They did as much as they could without getting a call back from the store, so they left the job incomplete.  A day passed and we heard nothing from the store.  I called the salesman I had worked with and left a message.  No call back.  My wife called and by interrogating the receptionist learned they were working on the problem, were trying to order the missing parts.  I called again and caught the salesman at his desk.  He claimed to not know the current state of the problem.  "It's in the hands of the parts department."  Unhappy, my wife tried again demanding contact with someone superior to the salesman. She was given the number for Ken and I called him.  Now I learned they were going to take parts from a demo unit and install them on the start up date to meet the schedule commitment.  On the start up date the installer called to tell us he was delayed 2 hours at another site.  While waiting for him the city inspector showed up when the store had scheduled his visit.  We explained the installation had not been completed, he glanced at it quickly, and left saying something about rescheduling.  When the installer arrived he finished the installation and did a good job of teaching us about the unit.  He called the store and left a message about the city inspector.  The store did not call us back.  I placed calls to both the store inspection department and the city inspector.  Neither of them returned my call so we can only assume that an understanding was reached between the store and the city and we are legal.
The unit appears to be well designed and performing as intended.
