"The impetus for this job was a slow drip from the laundry tub faucet. We decided as long as we were at it we should replace the faucet (we have been unable to turn the water on or off for years due to corrosion) and the laundry tub as well as the clothes washer connections and hoses. All of these were very old and inadequate so a little preventive and deferred maintenance was in order. Our call was answered immediately by a knowledgeable person who explained the pricing policies and made an appointment for a service call that same day. Jon Scheumann showed up a few minutes early after calling to confirm his arrival. He explained options and provided an estimate and completed the work that afternoon. The plumbing work and fixtures are all top quality. Jon nicked the wall in the stairway carrying the new laundry tub down to the basement. He apologized and arranged to have a painter come patch it up at his expense. That work was done the next day and also is top quality. We will not hesitate to call American Eagle Plumbing again the next time we need a plumber."

"Our un-vented basement bathroom needed a lot of help. It was harvest gold from the 70s and was developing mold. We needed the walls removed. Thankfully no serious mold was found behind the walls. It was taken down to the studs and everything was replaced from the floor to the ceiling and a fan with outside venting was installed. We got four quotes and went with St Croix Kitchen and Bath because the price was reasonable and Joe, the owner, had excellent design ideas. Joe was responsive and addressed all our concerns throughout the project. All his subs were respectful, friendly and professional. The finished product is excellent. When I took my first shower in the new tub and shower surround I though I was in a luxury condo on a beach somewhere. But no, it was still St Paul at 5 degrees outside. We are going to enjoy that bathroom for many years to come!"

The crew was 2 brothers that always started later in the morning (because "they were coming from up by St. Cloud down to Mpls"). Overall, the finished project is great. "I am a 76 year old woman who lives alone. I have three bathrooms in my home and called Boevaag Plumbing to repair one of the toilets. The service on August 22, 2024, was a replaced fill valve and flapper and the cost was $195.00. As long as the plumber was already onsite, I asked him to look at a second toilet that I thought might also needed a new fill valve and flapper. The plumber confirmed that was needed and asked if I wanted him to go ahead and do the repair. I asked him to do so. I naively did not ask what that additional repair would cost and assumed it wouldn't be another $195 as he was already on site. The plumber was very nice and left my home in clean condition. On completion of the second repair, I received a bill of $390! I was speechless and just wrote out a check. I wrestled for a couple of weeks with whether or not to call just to communicate my thoughts. I decided to write it off and never make the same mistake again. Shortly after the repair, the second toilet was giving me some problem. I called Boevaag and Jeff came out, at no charge. He found a piece of plastic in the new part that he thought was the culprit. A few weeks later the same issue presented. On December 5, 2024, I called Boevaag and told them the issue had not been resolved. Joe said he would get back to me. I called again on December 13, 2024 because I had not heard from Joe, left a message and Joe texted back, "Yes, you are on our list. With this cold weather we have been backed way up." With Christmas and the new year coming up, I chose to wait to hear back. Today is January 6, 2025. As I have not heard back, I called and talked to Joe. Joe assumed Jeff had followed up and resolved the issue. As that is not the case, I offered to accept a $150 refund and I would hire someone else to fix the problem. Joe said he would talk with Jeff to get the problem fixed and he hung up. I know plumbing repair is expensive and I may be wrong, but I feel, as an older single woman, I was taken advantage of. Joe has no customer service etiquette. He is rude and condescending. NO....I would definitely not recommend Boevaag Plumbing."
