Kitchen has passed all inspections and is now finished. Despite the project taking 7 weeks longer than projected, no consideration other than a gift card to a restaurant was offered. Perhaps it's me, but that seems like the last place I'd want to go after eating out for the last 8 (we've been able to use kitchen last 2)! Overall, if you have a kitchen that does not fit their mold, choose a different company.
UPDATE 2: End of week 9. The kitchen is fully functional now. Everything works after punch list complete. I have to say that nicest part is the floor (despite the disaster below), which Cornerstone did not do. Unfortunately, 1 of 3 final inspections have failed. In scheduling the inspections, the office staff insisted that I be present for them because they had "finished the work" so none of their staff was coming out (despite a recent newspaper ad claiming they are there for you before, during and after). After a little explaining to them that they are the builder/contractor and required to be here, they finally did schedule someone to come sit here. So, the saga continues.
UPDATE: Seventh week, and counting. Given the troubles outlined below, we are now working directly with the VP. Things have picked up a bit. However, because of working backwards (i.e. floor being done last), things are even more messy than before. Cornerstone did hire a sub-contractor (Serio Concrete) to do the floors. They will leave your house a mess! I came home to a thick layer of concrete dust over every surface in the kitchen/dining/living rooms because they decided not to properly install a dust shield. Therefore, Cornerstone did send out a cleaning crew at 5pm Friday night. They gave up after 2 hours without making much progress (but most of the used surfaces (sofas, etc) were cleaned). As the floor people left, they turned on the newly installed 70 inch vent hood to "aerate" the dust storm. So, now we had to clean all the grease trappings, and duct work. We're not sure if the motor is damaged....Cornerstone did not want to "be too harsh" on the floor guys because they needed them to finish the job.
Sixth week and counting for a kitchen renovation. Start 10/22/12, projected completion (per paperwork) 11/8/12.
While there are a few positives about Cornerstone, I can assure you that the headaches at this point are far outweighing them. The sales and design were by far the easiest and smoothest. Generally, most of the material is good (see below for exceptions). Plan on being present to prevent mistakes and answer many questions that should have been communicated internally.
From the start, the ?vice president? of the company did not know the function of an ?owner-builder? disclosure, yet he insisted we sign one. He is the licensed contractor for the company. Advice, don?t sign one unless you want to be responsible for their workmanship. I already had signed a contract at this point; otherwise, I probably would have jumped ship.
Execution of the design has been sluggish and now turning downright sloppy. Communication has been abysmal between my contact and the workers. For example, after they installed the wrong tile and grout color (despite my emailing the exact descriptions/colors to the project foreman and taking a picture of the sample boards), they were about to put the same (wrong)
grout color up the second time. Additionally,when the granite template person came out, he was putting a seam behind the
sink, which was our only request not to do. Last week, I had to send an email to the ?bosses? (who you?ll never meet/see) and explain that we did not have a functioning kitchen for Thanksgiving (not even the new microwave). At that point, they kicked it in gear for one day, and now we're back to a standstill. At the end of this, the 6th week, many things remain undone (floors not done, (so fridge and oven remain in the dining room) trim work not done, tile backsplash?they ran out of the second tile). Other things are done sloppily (toe kicks are uneven all around and do not extend up to cabinets, caulking was used to seal a very large gap between wall and cabinets, 2x4s still hold up counters due to faulty/missing corbels, the wrong hinges/window panes were used on the pantry door and have not been changed ).
Most of the workers have been cordial. However, many of them are disgruntled and constantly make snide remarks about their supervisors/owners. The electrician was great. There was not communication bewteen two different workers of the same discipline (i.e. the two different plumbers who came out did not communicate, so the second one had trouble).
I can?t explain this experience compared to the others reviewed here. If your project is small, straight-forward and uncomplicated, they probably would do a better job. For anything more extensive, look elsewhere. Perhaps living off of TV dinners has influenced this review, but 6 weeks of them....??? For the price and reputation, I expected more. I will update as progress occurs.

If your TV antenna is good quality and was installed by a professional, you can expect it to last between 10 and 20 years without needing repair or replacement. This can vary based on your geographic location, weather conditions, and antenna location.
TV antennas should be replaced if it’s been bent or physically damaged. It is possible that these can still be repaired. However, the repair won’t be as superior as a repair on a non-damaged antenna. Since repairing an antenna is typically less expensive than replacing it by at least $100, it’s worth trying to save your existing one if possible.
Before investing in a TV antenna repair, there are a few steps you can take to help boost your signal quality. Removing obstacles like tree branches can help improve your signal strength. Along the same line, moving an indoor antenna away from obstacles can also help. These should be near a window, as high as possible. If these steps don’t work, speak with a TV antenna technician about a signal amplifier to help boost your signal even further.
The cost to repair your TV antenna is around $200 for the average homeowner. However, charges could be as low as $60 or as high as $450. Factors such as multidirectional or unidirectional, indoor or outdoor, and amplified or non-amplified all play an essential role in determining the cost of your repair.
