"It was a pleasure dealing with Mike. My desktop computer was running very slow and i ordered additional memory sticks online. "My TV is running smoothly again after Pat sorted through the mass of wiring attached to the TV, the AV receiver, the cable box, etc to diagnose the reason my universal remote wasn't connecting properly with the HDMI component. On his 2nd visit, Pat and his helper removed the heavy TV from its bracket and then rebalanced the cabinet and ceiling speakers to produce much improved acoustics (immediately noticeable watching action movies). Pat also did an initial assessment of the TV/AV system at no charge, and his bill for the additional 2 visits was very reasonable. When I decide to upgrade to a larger TV, I will be calling Pat again. I highly recommend him."

"When Allen came over to give us an estimate, he tapped on the tiles to see how many of them sounded loose, and discussed what it would take to complete our job.  When doing the work, he ran into some unexpected complications (as often happens in an older home).  He found that an area behind some of the tile had almost no support, so he had to rip out more tile than expected, and install some boards, etc.  
The job ended up taking two days instead of one, but he was willing to move his other appointments to stay with this job until it was finished.  He also took time to educate us on how to keep the grout looking nice.  We ended up paying more than the original estimate, but it was understandable, given the extra work.

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.

"I called and scheduled an appointment.  On the day of the appointment, the technician (Michael) showed up on time and was very professional.  He was able to connect the Xbox to the tv and showed me how to navigate the system so I could play with my son and utilize the parental control features.   I was a bit disappointed though in the length of time it took to install the Xbox.  It took the entire hour of the discounted rate.  Mike said the install of the Xbox was easy but a bit time consuming because of all the setup steps and security verifications.  We then moved to the desktop computer to upgrade the memory.  He completed that and gave the computer a complete diagnostic check.  He removed several viruses and also downloaded some useful anti-virus software.  This part of the service also took an hour.  Total cost was $210 including the discounted first hour.  The second hour was $135.
This is the second time I have used Geek Choice. Overall I find the technicians to be very professional and knowledgeable.  I think the price could be a bit cheaper but they are comparable with other computer service companies that I have used.
