Wellington showed up as scheduled for me to choose a door. The door was special ordered so it took a while for delivery. Once received, installation was prompt and professional.

I really liked their salesman and he is very thorough. In the past several years they've replaced all our windows. We've like four windows at a time, we have a large home. So I like the salesman and I like the way he explains everything. I like their service department, we had a problem with one of the windows and they came right out and replaced it.

They did a great job!  They were in and out very quickly and the installation went very well.  It took them a few weeks to make the windows, and they installed the job in one day.  I'm completely happy with them and I'd absolutely recommend them!  They had great customer service.

The overall actual quality of Wellington Windows is very good. We did have some quality issues earlier on which were rectified to our satisfaction. Two windows were replaced because there were pieces of hair between the panes of the master bath window and my son's bedroom window. We had an expansive patio door replaced because the parchment colored molding discolored and turned a pinkish color. Caveat to future customers: Monitor the installers' work:  Make sure inside vinyl molding is cut to fit snuggly, not short-cut. Make sure wood trim covers up previous trim. We were told that there would be no need to paint. For us, that was not the case.
The contract we signed states this:  "Nominal trip charge for warranty labor charged after 36 months." Wellington honored that contract for the warranty issues in the past. But now, when we need more warranty work (13 years into the 20 year warranty) for broken weather stripping/leaf guard, they want to charge us not only the trip charge, but a few hundred dollars for labor. We were quoted $305. Their service/communication and honoring their written warranty leaves much to be desired.
Here are the details of our experience with Wellington Windows:  John Simenson came out to survey our window replacement issues in April of 2001. He seemed knowledgeable and brought a sample window along with a video  to help us understand how Wellington Windows were constructed and the quality that made them superior to their competitors. After having in-home consultations with Pella, Anderson, and Wellington, we opted for Wellington Windows to do our window replacement; not only for the quality window we understood we were purchasing, but also for the twenty year warranty. (Our house was only 10 years old and needed to have faulty Semco windows replaced due to water damage and consequent carpenter ant issues. This resulting in us having not only windows, but WALLS replaced.  Semco did not stand by their warranty, so a decent warranty was of UTMOST consideration!)
John emailed us his quote, and we thought his pricing was very competitive. Upon further review, we found out why: He inadvertently forgot to include the lower level of 11 windows and the walk-out patio door. He then emailed us the quote for what we requested.... It was quite a lot of money ($38 K), but after getting burned on our first windows, we were willing to pay for Wellington Windows because they had a good product with what we thought was a good warranty.
I called to request service in April for a broken lock on a patio door and for weather stripping/leaf guard that was cracking, rendering it useless. I was told we needed to submit the dimensions of the weather stripping/leaf guard that needed to be replaced so they would know how much to bring. When my husband called during the week of  May 5, 2014,  to schedule installation for the warranty work, he spoke to "Frankie." He communicated he would be emailing her the dimensions of the weather stripping/leaf guard that needed to be replaced, as requested by the service department. He never heard back from Frankie. He called again and was told Wellington didn't get his email due to email issues on their end. My husband resent the email. Frankie indicated she would call me to set up a time for the warranty work to be completed after she got the email. A few days later when she did not follow through, I called Wellington's service dept and chatted with Frankie. She admitted to "dropping the ball."  After being put on hold three times, she was finally able to schedule an apt for June 1 at 1 PM.
I received a call on June 1 at 3:15 PM (an hour and 15 minutes late) that the service person was delayed and currently en route. He was scheduled get to my house within the hour. The serviceman that came to do repair was very friendly and worked hard, although there was no way he could finish the job before he left. He was still there when my husband and I needed to leave for an appointment at 5:50 PM.  I didn't feel particularly good about leaving when he was still at my house; my sons were still home. If he would have been there on time, this would not have been an issue.
Even though I had discussed with Frankie that my warranty indicated a $45 trip charge would cover the work, the service man seemed surprised when I mentioned it and asked to take a picture of the warranty for his boss. The serviceman told me the service dept would call to reschedule the additional work that needed to be completed. When the service dept did not call to do that a few days later, I called to reschedule. Was told that my service trip charge was $85 plus labor; in total, my bill would be $305 after the rest of the repairs would be completed on July 18, six weeks later! When I asked about what was written on my warranty, the service manager agreed to honor the $45 trip charge, but labor would be charged by the hour. This did not honor my contract where it states: "Nominal trip charge for warranty labor beyond 36 months."
Replacement windows are a big investment. Choose carefully!

The siding quote was the lowest of three that had been obtained despite the fact that the materials quoted probably were the best of those in the three quotes.  I enjoyed working with the sales person and with the crew.  The entire installation process took about 1.5 weeks.  All work was performed as scheduled, e.g. the dumpster arrived as scheduled and was removed as scheduled.  Appropriate clean-up work was done at the end of each day.  The crew was allowed to store many of their tools in the garage and allowed to use the home bathroom (they put down drop cloths to prevent tracking).  Work was done with precision and pride.  Unusual situations discovered such as the need for foam sealing of a gap between the house wall and foundation exterior was done at no extra charge.  I am an "expert" do-it-yourself person, and their work met my high standards.  After completion of the installation, the building inspector asked me who had done the work.  I asked why he had asked.  He said the siding installation was one of the best that he has seen.

They did every window in the house in one day. The whole experience was fine and we didn't have any issues with the windows and they did a good job. One window in the bathroom had privacy glass, so it was a design on it that would let the light in but you couldn't see. They came out and we told them that it wasn't what we ordered. They got the right order and came back out and replaced it. That was a good deal for us and we didn't have any issues. The crew came out here and were going at such a good pace. I was helping them clean up the mess and then they would go onto the next one. I would save them time, but stayed into the evening to finish the job. They had them pre-measured, had them built, brought them out, popped out the old windows, and got the new ones slapped in. We haven't called them back for anything. We've been pretty happy with them and they've been a good product for us. We have a patio door that I tore apart. I painted it and rebuilt the wood portion of the frame. It's held up over the years, but at some point I would probably go back to Wellington because they custom built the windows and they all fitted with no issues.

This is a review of Wellington Home Improvements.  We had 5 windows
replaced and it took 5 visits to get them in an acceptable condition.
For the first install, two guys were here for about 11 hours and did a
terrible job, very sloppy.. obviously no experience. (One guy boasting
he had 6 months under the most senior installer..)  Their customer
service was good, and they said they would make it right and and kept
coming out until it was acceptable.  "Great" service after the bad first
install would have been to have all the materials and realize how much
work needed to be done the second time they had to come out, rather than
make several additional trips.  Also, it felt like they only wanted to fix what we told them was wrong... they should be the experts.  Thank goodness my work schedule is
flexible.  Last year we had a few windows replaced under Wellington
Windows and those windows, trim everything was exceptional .. our newest
windows with install are more like average.  I would hope this is a one
off and not typical of the new Wellington, but not willing to find that out.

Professionally and quickly done.  Clean up after was good.  Had one question after installation which was answered quickly and to my satisfaction.  Price was right in the ballpark with other companies I had  estimates from.  Their advantage was the awning window.  I love it!

Wellington Window & Door Co. are nice people. The guy that owns the place was really nice and impressive. He showed me a tour of the factory and told me about the company. I researched a lot of places and these guys were great. They came to my house in really cold weather that was below zero and they installed the windows anyway. We have had no problems with them and they have been great.

We had a representative come out and give us estimates to replace a few windows. The rep was great. He took his time with us, answering any questions we had and even brought in actual windows to show us examples of their work. Other companies rushed through their estimates ( I'm assuming it was because we only were getting 3 windows done so it was a smaller project and there were bigger projects out there to be had), or pressured us to get more windows replaced. Wellington stood out from the competitors because there was no pressure and the rep was very upfront about cost and quality of the windows. The only issue we had was getting the workers out to do the project. After we signed papers, the rep said we'd hear from the company in 3-4 days about scheduling workers to come out. A week went by and I finally called them. They got our date set up. On said date, no one came at the time they were supposed to. I called Wellington. They checked into it and said they would call me back with an answer. They didn't call back, but did have a team come out an hour later. I think their communication lines were a bit messed up, but I think a lot of it had to do with them being so busy at the end of the year (it was 2 weeks before the energy tax credit expired and the workers were doing a lot of jobs). The windows got put in that day in about 3 hours. The windows look great and are much less drafty than what we had before. Wellington was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do to get the energy tax credit. We would definitely use Wellington again to replace more windows.

They backed into my tree and broke it. Their truck's engine leaked oil all over my driveway. They scratched my furniture. They left cigarette butts and building materials in my yard. Personal property was missing after they were finished with their work.

These are vinyl windows with wood cores and we were fortunate that one of the color choices for the outside of the windows closely matched our house color and one of the interior colors closely matched the color of the existing trim that remained in place. So being able to use retro fits saved money as well as going with slider windows. We were very comfortable with slider windows as we had had them in our previous home. Scott, salesman, was excellent and did not try to push us into going with more expensive casement windows. And we were very pleased with the installation done by Bob and Jeremy. The bathroom window had a small spot between the panes and Wellington replaced it without any question. We couldn't be more pleased to have functional windows that are also energy efficient.

Overall, the experience was very good. Our salesman, Troy, was very knowledgable and helpful, and we felt that he gave us us a good price for the work we were having done. The installer, Nick, (there was another guy here but I never got his name), was great. The work got done well, got done quickly, and we are extremely pleased with the results! The look is awesome, and we are right away noticing the difference in the lack of air escaping! The only "issue" (and I say that loosely) was that 2 of our windows should have been ordered as "reverse slides" (sliding the opposite way of their standard), based on the treatments we have for those windows, but we didn't realize that until the first night of the installation. We were not in the room when the windows were measured or remeasured, and the guy who did the measurements just neglected to notice the vertical blinds we have in the windows - which would have told him whoch way they needed to slide. When we called Troy, our salesman, he admitted he didn't catch that, and I appreciated his honesty on that. We spoke to Steve, the installation manager, and he was very willing to work with us on a solution to the "issue" if we couldn't make it work ourselves. We did make it work, but it took quite a bit of work for us to make it to work. All-in-all, it was a very easy process and a great experience. We would happily work with them again anytime.

It was very good. We were very pleased with them. They did a great job and they cleaned up everything well. We had received several other estimates, and we are happy we went with them. Their workmanship was good, and we would definitely use them again.
