He is very personable and knowledgable and understood exactly what we needed and had pertinent suggestions about materials. His experienced employees did an excellent installation job. There was a complication with a less important step in the job that involved spreading a small layer of concrete along the top of the stones that were at the base of the house. The problem was that it unexpectedly rained before the concrete dried, causing a film of concrete on face of the stones and making the concrete topping uneven. Joel responded quickly and removed the film. He also installed a mailbox post gratis in compensation. Great response. I noticed a crack on the side of the chimney that was allowing water to damage a wall inside the house. (This was not caused by the English Stone crew) I asked for help two days ago because we expect a thunderstorm tonight and Joel sent someone this morning to repair the crack. Great follow-up service. The price was high, but we didn't have time to shop around because the timetable for other work we were doing depended on getting the concrete finished quickly. It looks good, and the work was completed on schedule, but some umbrella holders that we purchased and had them insert in the concrete were placed at an angle and are unusable unless we want our umbrellas listing to the side by about 15 degrees. Also, bolts for attaching the shed that we requested be inserted into the concrete were not lined up very carefully, and when building the frame for the shed we had to adjust the measurements to match up to the bolts. The grade was off on the shed slab, and rain water runs in under the walls. One more concern the quote stated that there would be a \"fiber mesh\" in the concrete. I assumed this meant those rolls of mesh that you see placed in concrete to strengthen it. This was not used, so when I asked about it I was told it was small mesh fibers embedded on the concrete. What could I say to that? I paid, but felt like I had been deceived by the wording in the estimate."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/forest-lake/anderson-masonry%2C-inc-reviews-496469.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"SHEARS TUCKPOINTING","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"DAYLANNE E."},"reviewBody":"Company did not return my call asking for an estimate on a repair or replacement of a leaning concrete basement bulkhead/retaining wall."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/minneapolis/shears-tuckpointing-reviews-106303.htm"},"position":10}]}

This company does not stand behind their work. In early 2018 they built a concrete platform in my basement for my new front-loading washer and dryer. It looked very nice; however, in extending the platform to the wall, they had encased a water meter gauge that was about 6-7" off the floor in...

They were prompt, professional and efficient. I was happy with the asphalt, but not with the concrete they laid. They were done by sub contractors.

Family owned business with over 3 years of experience handling all your concrete, driveways, patios, sidewalks, slabs, caulk and crack repair.
"Garrett was very responsive with the bid and throughout the project. He raised our patio about an inch and a half, but had to stop before raising it higher, as he was concerned about the concrete cracking. I appreciated that he did not just continue the project. He did reduce the price quite significantly since he wasn't able to fully complete the job and the price was very fair."

"The patio extension looks nice and was completed quickly for a good price. My only complaint is that with the wet weather the day before they left behind some significant ruts in the lawn. I'll have to rototill and re-seed those areas later this summer."

We are the "Concrete Driveway Experts"!! Meaning... we specialize in ONLY the Concrete Driveway:) We have created and then fulfill for every customer a proven process; the replacement of an existing driveway (or just concreting over an existing gravel driveway) Cornerstone's Proven Process: We have four crews, each specializing and performing their specific task in the "assembly line" process. Tear out crew: With a Bobcat and dump truck will tear out the existing asphalt or concrete driveway and disposes of the material at a local re-cycling station. Set-up crew: Sets up forms, grades and compacts subsoil and ties the rebar grid together. Pouring crew: Meets our local ready mix concrete truck(s) at the site and places the fresh concrete within the forms in a professional manner. Cutting Crew: Removes forms, lays out and cuts expansion cuts and cleans up. ALL aspects of Cornerstone's process is performed with a labor force on our payroll and NOT sub-contracted. This assures Cornerstone Quality!!
"Cornerstone Concrete did a great job with my new driveway. They were very accommodating with my schedule, and were able to give me a quote and squeeze me in before the end of the year. They were also very flexible in allowing me to install some under-driveway drainage for my downspouts while they were working. There was some minor cosmetic damage that occurred during the installation, but they were quick and fair in rectifying the issue. The driveway itself looks amazing. I would definitely hire them again."

I started in the Masonry business in 1976 and have been working ever since. I started my business in 1980 and incorporated in 1986. We are a small company with an experienced crew. They've all worked with me for the last 20 years. Experienced with working with condo associations and large building tuck pointing, brickwork, and stone work.
"In Aug./Sep. 2019, Rogers Masonry did a tear-down of our decrepit stuccoed chimney, followed by a beautiful brick re-build. The project posed some every unique challenges that Roger handled with a high level of professionalism and diligence. He is exceptionally knowledgeable in all chimney-related matters and provided almost-daily progress reports to document the work his crew was performing. His communication was exemplary, and he was responsive to our questions/concerns, all of which he promptly addressed. We were especially appreciative of the many pictures of the ongoing work that Roger provided throughout the project. We have already had the opportunity to make a referral for Roger and hope to work with him on another chimney project in 2020."

My car kept bottoming out on the standard rollover curb. When the city inspcted it the inspector commented on the quality of the job. FAQs for concrete wall construction projects in Brooklyn Park, MN
One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
Typically, it’s more affordable to buy an existing home than it is to build a new one. New construction loan interest rates tend to be higher than interest rates for traditional mortgages. Additionally, the cost of materials is likely higher when building a new home than it was when an existing home was built (unless it’s a very new one). You’re also paying for all new appliances, finishes, permits, inspections, and connections for water, gas, and electricity.
The average price per square foot to build a house is about $150 per square foot. Overall, the cost to build a house ranges anywhere from $100 to $500 per square foot, depending on where you build. The primary cost factors include location, size, and style of house you build.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
