Hi [Member Name Removed]-Thank you for taking the time to share your drain tile experience with Standard Water Control!!! We are very happy to hear you are happy. We look forward to many more years of service with you!!Service Provider Response
We’re very sorry this customer is upset. She originally scheduled us to install a basement waterproofing system in 2018. She then cancelled the installation after the 3 day rescission period that is clearly noted in the contract. Had she cancelled within 3 days, we would have refunded the money. In 2019 the homeowner re-scheduled the waterproofing system installation but, once again, cancelled beyond the 3 day window. Now, about half way through 2020, the customer wants to revisit the issue covered by the contract she signed. Generally, we will give a credit when a customer re-schedules within six months and we actually do the job. If the customer re-schedules and then cancels again, our 10% cancellation fee will become active. To be clear, the down payment covers our cancellation fee. We believe it’s bad business to surprise customers with things like cancellation fees. They get upset and it harms our reputation. Our policy is to be as clear and upfront about all costs involved so the customer isn’t surprised. Even though we go out of our way to be clear about the 3 day window for cancellation, sometimes customers still miss it. This will be a topic in an upcoming sales meeting.Wells.
