"We hired Remarkable Renovators to finish our basement. We wanted to add another 800 square feet, including another bedroom, a den, and an enclosed laundry room. We started with concrete floors and only one framed support wall. Remarkable Renovators handled the framing, insultation, subcontracted the drywall, did all the trim, the flooring, and the painting, and built a custom closet for us. Jamie and his team did an excellent job. They quoted us a fair price, started the project on time, and did quality work. His team members were hard working, professional, courteous, and dependable. Communication throughout the project was good and his people cleaned up their work area each night before they left! "Our A/C stopped functioning. They removed dust and debris from the coils in the 'inside' unit. They also cleaned the drainage hose that took condensation out. Unfortunately, they missed an overflow tray which filled up a few days later, overflowing above the ceiling of our living room. It soaked the plaster. We are still getting bids to fix it, but the bids are hovering in the ~$500-$700 range. VanderHyde was apologetic and fixed the problem promptly when notified, but the damage had been done. I think it was an honest oversight. But that oversight doubled the cost of the repair. I would still use them again.

Jon the head contractor showed extensive and wide ra ging knowledge and expertise. His detail work was exceptional. He was able to perform tasks we requested but also was able to troubleshoot problems we didn't know how to solve, suggesting several options for us to consider. "Bob was hired to install a door where there never was one before.  Therefore, he had to make the doorway a bit larger to accommodate the pre-hung solid door.  That job took the longest and he also did the locks.  Then on to the screen door.  It really looks nice and works well for the owners.  There has to be some finishing on the interior (molding), but my son is able to do that.  The job was messy, for sure.  Redwood dust everywhere!  Wish I had known, I would have covered everything in the sunroom.  Although, I have to hand it to Bob.......he did clean up the wood chunks on the exterior this time!  :)  
I had him last year to install a dishwasher, sink and then replace the disposal after sink was installed.  There was some carpentry work to be done so the dishwasher would fit properly.  Also, hard wiring for the dishwasher.  So far all is still in working order!  That cost was $400 total for labor alone.
