Did a great job. Cleaned up, was neat, never left a mess like some of the other subcontractors. Very courteous to deal with. Only negative would be Ed didn't always inform us of all our options, and his son tried to upsell to us (without us realizing it, which may have been partly the fault of the contractor). The main guy (Ed) was great and very straightforward.
Description of Work: Complete re-wiring of an older home as part of a remodel/update. Under supervision of a contractor. It was in the thousands of dollars spaced out over duration of the project, which took over a year. I don't have time to go back over all invoices and add up just the electrical work, so put a zero for cost. Sorry.

It went very well. Steve had to install another electrical panel to accommodate the generator and it runs all the desired lights and appliances during a power outage. Steve has done work for me previously to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Steve picked up the standby generator that I had purchased and installed it.

The work was finished in a timely manner and Steve was very professional and courteous. I will be calling Steve again soon for some additional work.
Description of Work: I have used Taylor Electric on several occasions throughout the last 5 years. The jobs have included fixing some problem outlets, the replacement of a ceiling fan, wiring up a sump pump, installing an exhaust fan in a kennel and bring the electrical for it up to code, and a major job of installing a standby generator which he went out of his way to be helpful.

About 3 weeks ago, we lost electricity to the upstairs of our home. Despite extensive efforts to troubleshoot the problem on my own, I had to eventually give up and consult a professional. After asking some neighbors for referrals to a good electrician, Steve Taylor's name came up. It took Steve a couple of days to get back to me after my initial call, but when we spoke, I felt confident that he would be the man for the job. Since the problem was at our vacation home and we live three hours away, I was afraid I would have to take time off work to be there on a weekday for Steve to come over. On the contrary, Steve told me he'd be happy to come on a Saturday morning. At 9:00 exactly (our agreed-upon time), Steve arrived and got to work. Within about 15 minutes, Steve identified the problem and set about repairing it. An hour later, he had repaired the issue and we were again "electrified". In the process of doing the work, Steve corrected a safety issue with one of the breakers in our panel. He also identified a problem with the original wiring of our house (none of our outlets are grounded!). If one must hire an electrician, Steve's a good guy to go with. He is punctual, flexible and his rates are fair and affordable. Furthermore, he was professional and informative. I'd gladly do business with Steve Taylor again.
Description of Work: Troubleshoot a malfunctioning electrical circuit, repair an electrical circuit, replace circuit breaker
