"The installation went very well. We had to wait 3 months for an appointment, as they were really booked up, and we are over 100 miles from the factory. The crew showed up on time, and did an excellent job of removing the 77 year old windows that had the original framing. They set the new windows very professionally, and did a great job of caulking. They demonstrated the features and had us use them so we were sure we knew how to work them. We have window air conditioners for our small house, and they re-installed them in a leak-proof frame."

"This was a very good experience. From the estimate through the installation everything was easy and affordable. We will be having them return for more window tinting. The results are amazing. We love the ceramic film and would recommend that product if you want a cool, crisp feel that includes all the benefits of UV and heat protection."

"They did a phenomenal job power-washing my deck after this winter. Made my deck look practically brand new.  The best part is they made a deal to clean my windows for only $50 dollars extra when I know it would cost more than that! Such a great company and I would most definitely use them again!"

"Marvin did a great job! He was polite, professional and efficient. We got our glass storm door tinted and we love not feeling like we're in a fishbowl anymore!! We also had him do a few more windows after the initial bid and he got them done lickity split. We'll call him back again if we need any more windows tinted."

"Dale had good suggestions for which product to use to tint our windows. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information as he was doing the installation. He was also very funny and pleasantly honest. I would highly recommend this company."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Window screens can help keep some heat out of your home, which is one benefit of using them in summer. It’s also the reason experts suggest removing your screens in winter—so it’s easier for the sun’s warmth to filter into your home. This will keep you cozier and potentially reduce your heating bills.

Windows last between 15 and 30 years on average. The glass tends to last for around 20 years, while the frames last up to 50 years. This varies by the type of window frame material, glass quality, location, and level of maintenance. Wood frames have the shortest lifespan and require repainting or resealing every couple of years, while fiberglass has one of the longest lifespans.

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

Windows with muntins are slightly more expensive because you’re paying for more material, but the cost shouldn't be that much higher since most muntins are fake on modern windows. You’re looking at a cost between $25 and $100 more per window for muntins, depending on the type. The only exception is if you want custom muntins to match your home style or meet your personal preference. Most manufacturers will charge more for these as they can’t mass-produce them. Windows with true muntins are rare, and they’re much more expensive upfront and over time if you ever need individual glass replacement.

Casement windows are more expensive than some other window types, such as single-hung or double-hung windows. However, casement windows are not the most expensive type of window. Bow and bay window costs tend to be the highest, because they involve multiple large windows that jut out from the exterior of the home.
