Everything was quick and easy. They came out to give me an estimate and the installation took about 4-5 weeks considering we had a lot of windows. All my neighbors raved about the windows and are in the process of purchasing from Genex as well. Thanks for the great work Geno!

Good, the wait time to get the windows put in was a little long (4 weeks), but my order was a small so I get why they took so long. Windows look niece and seem to have done a good job sealing, I feel no drafts. Their windows are actually really really good for the price. I got the 700 series, the windows have a U factor of .16 which puts them in the Pella good category. I suppose one could buy these windows and have someone else install, because the reviews indicate installation issues. I didn't look at Angie's list before I hired them, I probably wouldn't have hired them if I had.

This is the second time we used them. First time we were referred by a remodeler who we respected.

First time probably was 6 years ago. We had 5 fogged-up windows fixed. Owner came out for and gave us an estimate. They were prompt and came out the same day - fixed them - reinstalled them same day. Cost reasonable.

Good job. This time one window was merely out of alignment so worker just realigned it without charging us.

The contract called for replacement of 18 windows. When Genex finished 16 windows and attempted to replace the 2 remaining half round windows they damaged my varnished molding and then said they could not replace them. After bitter arguments and Geno's sarcasm, I paid them a reduced amount. They also left litter including razor blades which endangered our pet and grandchildren until I found them.
The windows were installed Mar 12, 2012. 10 months later two of the replaced windows had moisture between the glass panels. I am afraid that the remaining 14 windows will soon likewise leak moisture. I had replaced the windows due to moisture so the work performed by Genex is of no value.
Upon contacting the owner, Geno, he told me that he would replace only the window panels themselves (material only) and that I would need to pay for the labor by finding another company to remove the 10 month old windows that genex installed and replace them with genex's replacement windows with US paying the labor.
There was no way for me to be sure that the new windows would last any longer than the 10 months that the original new windows lasted. Therefore, if I hired another company for the removal and reinstallation and those windows also leaked, I would be out not only the money I have paid genex but also the money paid to the other company.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this company. There are many other ones out there. If there is any integrity with Genex, I can't find it.
Response from GENEX WINDOW SVC
"I personally went to inspect the customer’s claim and didn’t see any moisture between the glass, he said it went away. I told him we will change the 3 windows anyway. The customer refused to let the service man I brought with me into his house to correct and slammed door After we left, the customer E-mailed me that “if you want me to withdraw the Angie’s List complaint and put this problem behind you to pay me $1406.00.” Genex Window has thousands of customers and have produced hundreds of thousands of windows for over 15 years. With the help of all of my employees we have a spotless record. There has never been one customer that I didn’t fix. The customer hired us to replace 18 windows with new double pane glass for $3812.00 this included (4) ½ round windows, 1 patio door and Tempered glass. I’m sure your members will agree that this is a fair price. Round windows and patio doors are expensive. We also wrote on the contract that paint chipping will happen, which he signed off. During the project the guy who didn’t show up to give him an estimate (the customer complained to us about him not showing up)) finally contacted him and said he would do for less. The customer stopped us from continuing. We just couldn’t do the job for less; he wasn’t paying us what he agreed to, so we stopped and only paid $2812.00. No respectable business person would allow themselves to be blackmailed and I don’t think Angie’s purpose was to us her name for this purpose. The customer and send what he wants and Angie can print what she likes. My response is to let the members know that Genex will replace any product that is defective in accordance to our written warranty. Honestly Submitted Geno Hodzic"

Been shopping for tilt turn windows for a couple of years now.
I wanted a window that was made and installed by someone local.
The window must have sound reduction quality.
This is the only TILT TURN window manufacture I could find in Michigan.
This is the only window manufacture that would let me choose the glass configuration.
Joe at Genex was so easy and flexible to work with.
They made me a window glazing that would reduce outside noise.
It has a Higher STC rating with a Higher R value than most other windows
It was a very solid constructed window.
When you have the window Installed be careful about window install depth.
A flush wall install will allow the window to open against the wall.
A recessed installed window will bump the frame and prevent the window from touching a wall.
Either way is good. You also get to choose left or right opening

They are the best windows there are and half the price of a competitive brand. I've recommended them to several people already.
