Customers say: Quick response

"Forget paying for those third-party installers to hook-up your gas dryer or stove. Jason came out and took care of us on the date he said and within the time frame he gave us. We didn't have to wait around all day for someone to take care of us. I highly recommend Advanced Plumbing, they are Awesome!"

"This company is awesome! Came right in and told me the problem. Didn't try to tell me a lie to make a buck! Very thorough and showed me on the camera the issue. Came and Hydro-jetted the massive blockage and the tree roots and was all done. Showed me the finished results and also sent me a video of the clean pipe for my records. Best plumbing service I've used and I will continue to use them from here on out. Thanks Kevin for a job well done."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Hiring a professional for mold and toxic material testing ensures precise identification of harmful substances within a home. Professionals utilize specialized equipment and techniques, providing accurate results that inform proper removal strategies, safeguarding occupant health.

While a professional can always help, there are some common plumbing culprits you can check yourself to see if you can find the sewer gas smell. For example, you should check your water traps, sometimes called P-traps and S-traps, which are located under sink, shower, and laundry drains. The wax ring beneath the base of your toilet, which creates a watertight seal with the plumbing, could also have gone bad.

Some pros may recommend covering a popcorn ceiling that tests positive for asbestos with beadboard ceiling planks or drywall. The cost to install a beadboard ceiling averages more than $5,000, but you likely will pay more than the average for the installer to deal with the asbestos safely. Installing a beadboard ceiling or new drywall will disturb the asbestos and release some microscopic fibers, so the installer will need to take precautions.

If your home was built before 1989 and still has original vinyl, there’s a high probability of asbestos mixed into the old flooring, which can harm you and your family if it’s disturbed from removal. If you suspect that you have asbestos, you’ll want to call in an asbestos removal expert to evaluate the situation.

Epoxying over asbestos tiles is generally considered a safe option when done correctly. Epoxy acts as a sealant, encapsulating the asbestos tiles and preventing the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The key is ensuring that the asbestos tiles are in good condition, firmly adhered to the substrate, and not damaged or deteriorating. This method is only appropriate for tiles that are undamaged and securely in place. If the asbestos tiles are already loose, damaged, or deteriorating, encapsulating them with epoxy may not be a sufficient solution, as it might not address the potential for ongoing asbestos exposure.
