Shortly after, the supervisor David arrived driving a white ABC 123 Maintenance truck to assist with selecting and purchasing the necessary materials. We personally purchased all the materials required for the project. We then proceeded to the house. Upon arrival, David inspected the property and shortly after informed us that they would not be performing the work. At that point, my wife had already paid a $3,200 deposit and had purchased all the necessary materials. The worker and David then left the property and did not return ever since. On October 10th, my wife reached out to the company to request a refund of the deposit and was told she would need to wait 30 days. Prior to November 10th, my wife left the country and instructed the company to issue the refund check to me. On November 10th, I followed up by calling both David and the company s office. David stated that he doesn t handle financial matters and directed me to contact the office, and the company owner or secretary will call me back. Unfortunately, no one answered or returned my call. As of November 13th, I still have not received a refund or any response. When I attempted to call the company s 800 number, I was informed few times that the number was no longer in service. Based on my experience, ABC 123 Maintenance has proven to be unprofessional and unreliable. I strongly urge others to be cautious when dealing with this company or its supervisor, David. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau, and local news outlets to make the public aware, as well as contact Michigan State Attorney General for assistance. The company did not have to wait for my wife s deposit, and we should not have to wait almost 3 months to receive our money back since, once the company refused to work on the project, the company should return the deposit to us immediately. If this issue continues to go unresolved, we will also be taking legal action against the company and/or possibly Angi to recover our losses including legal fees."

When an unexpected noise then appeared, Duane came back within a couple of days and replaced a clip that no longer had enough tension to stay in place, free of charge. We do residential and commercial, single family or multi unit complexes. We are a full service dryer venting and maintenance company. We are fully insured. We wear clean uniforms, drive a clearly marked vehicle and wear photo Identification from the CSIA. For your safety never allow anyone into your home who fails to present proper photo id. A nationally known advocate for safe dryer vents, Mr. Joe Gagnon, has often had Tim as a guest on his radio program, The Appliance Doctor. Joe has often stated that many lives have been saved by Clean & Green. Thousands of house fires occur each year because of a dryer exhaust or chimney that simply was not maintained properly. Many people purchase a new washer and dryer only to have the delivery service connect the dryer to the vent with a foil transition which is illegal and unsafe. Many people call for service to their dryer, the appliance technician most likely changes a part, closes up the machine and leaves. The lint on the bottom of the dryer is left behind…almost always. A dryer must be vented to the outside of a building by law. Not into a garage, not into a bucket with water inside, and not into your attic. The majority of Dryers are heated using natural gas which produces Carbon Monoxide when it leaves the dryer thus must be vented outside. Dryer venting seems to be almost an afterthought to home builders. They go up and out of the roof, they go out the second floor siding, they may travel seventy feet across the basement and go out through the wall. We measure the air velocity at the termination found on the outside of the home, then we measure the air velocity at the dryer. If there is a tremendous difference we may take a backpressure reading as well. In most cases where there is a big difference between the air velocity on the outside and back of the dryer, or if your backpressure is excessive. Obviously your dryer vent needs to be cleaned out from end to end, however house fires do not start inside of a dryer vent! They start inside of your dryer. When you press the on button if you listen you will hear a “Click, Whoosh” type of noise. That is the click of the igniter inserting a little spark into the spray of natural gas and the whoosh is the resulting ignition of that gas. Bad things happen when the dryer vent is plugged and lint accumulates by the inch all over the bottom of your dryer until it’s three or four inches thick and then the whoosh noise can light the whole dryer on fire before you can walk out of your laundry room. In the firebox completely removed fire brick from back and both side walls. completely removed clay flue and replaced with insulated stainless steel. This included adding a lever operated lock top damper and stainless-steel exterior flue cap. Much time was spent adding chamber tech 2000 parge coating to the smoke chamber. Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season.
