"BDS came out and inspected. Let me know that I didn't have the type of asbestos that "had" to be removed. He said the insulation had been done very well and didn't need to be removed. He also told me that if I had concerns about the stability of the insulation that I could have an air quality test done on an annual basis."

The average cost to replace siding is $10,500, but you should expect to pay an average of $12,000 to install new siding over stucco. To clean painted aluminum siding, use a mixture of mild detergent and water applied with a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose to remove soap residue. For stubborn stains, cleaning aluminum siding with a power washer on a low-pressure setting can be effective. But avoid using high pressure, which could damage the paint.

While almost nothing is completely fireproof, metal siding is extremely fire-resistant. It’s non-combustible so while it may eventually melt in extreme temperatures, it won’t actually light on fire itself. This can add a layer of safety to structures that wood or vinyl siding can’t, making it attractive for industrial use. Metal siding can significantly slow down the spread of a fire, giving extinguishers and firefighters a much better chance at saving the structure and containing the blaze.
