FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "Completely rebuilt our 26-year-old wood burning mason fireplace to bring it up to code. In the firebox completely removed fire brick from back and both side walls. completely removed clay flue and replaced with insulated stainless steel. This included adding a lever operated lock top damper and stainless-steel exterior flue cap. Much time was spent adding chamber tech 2000 parge coating to the smoke chamber. Kevon and his two workers were excellent. All details on steps being taken were clearly explained. All carpeting was protected from the front door to the work area in the family room. All debris was removed from the job site. This was a big job that took two days to complete. Am following the recommended wait time and break in steps to be taken. It is comforting to know that we have a completely safe fireplace that is up to code. Looking forward on having Doctor Flue perform annual chimney sweeps during the off season. When your HVAC system is loud, a few different causes are possible. If you have loose connections or bolts in the hardware, they can rattle as the system runs and vibrates. There are a few factors to consider if you’re deciding between repairing and replacing your air conditioner. It’s probably worth fixing the AC unit if it’s less than 10 years old, you’re dealing with a one-off issue, and your warranty or maintenance plan will cover the repairs. On the other hand, if your air conditioner is dated, inefficient, out of warranty, and experiencing multiple problems, consider replacing it.
If both your furnace and AC unit are more than a decade old, it may be a good idea to replace both of them. However, your furnace can last up to three decades, and your air conditioner can typically last up to 15 years, so consulting with a pro before deciding to replace both of them is best. If it’s before that time limit for each, you can fix many problems with repairs or just replace one.
You should service your AC at least once per year, in the spring, and twice per year if your unit is 10 years or older. As your unit ages, more maintenance can catch problems early and help the system reach its full lifespan potential, usually 15 years.
Get on your HVAC technician’s schedule in early spring so your unit is ready to go for the season. If you’re doing two inspections per year, aim for one in the spring and one in the fall. You should also service your furnace once per year in the fall.
