"Yesterday, Monday, 11/23, Joe and Tyler moved our furniture and belonging from our home in Canton (8730 Eastham Drive) to Westland (34510 Fountain Boulevard). I am writing to express my deep appreciation for Joe and Tyler's care and consideration shown to both homes and to our belongings and furniture during the move. Prior to beginning each move, they assessed the homes and degree of difficulty in moving each item. They were very professional and friendly throughout, in spite of the challenge of moving our belongings to the new home, a townhouse style apartment on three floors! My wife and I are very grateful for their work and diligence in making the move. We highly recommend Bos Moving both for the care and concern shown by the staff and for the reasonable cost."

"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

"I had a wonderful experience with your company From my Move on November 7th. The entire crew were fast and friendly. Not a thing was scratched or bent/broken or dented. You all worked ahead of the clock and I am very happy with everything from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anybody that would need to move. Again thank you for working with our family on our move. I can tell your team is a family also."

"Chris was our lead mover. He and his team were very professional and carefully moved all of our items into a pod. They took apart our furniture, unmounted tvs and wrapped art work. We are planning on using all my sons again for our move into the new home. The move ended up costing more than we planned due to needing extra moving supplies."

Moving questions, answered by experts

It’s typically more cost-effective to move a building along with its accessories than to demolish and rebuild it from scratch. However, that’s only if you can move the accessories without damaging them. However, if you plan to demolish the accessories anyway, it is advisable to do so before the move to save costs.

The most expensive part of moving is hiring professional movers. However, hiring a pro is more efficient and less stressful, so many people find the cost worth it. You’ll also spend a lot of money on packing supplies, including boxes, tape, and bubble wrap, so ask around to see if any friends or family members have old supplies you can use for free.

Gym equipment can be heavy, so it’s best to transport it using a furniture dolly. When dealing with treadmills, weight machines, or other bulky items, hiring professional movers or roping in some friends and renting a moving van makes sense.

Moving a six-person hot tub typically requires at least four to six strong individuals. The exact number of people required depends on the hot tub's weight, dimensions, and any obstacles in the moving path. Additionally, professional movers may have specialized equipment to handle the task more efficiently with fewer people.

The most cost-effective way to move is to DIY most of the moving tasks, including packing, driving the moving truck, and loading and unloading. While DIY moving is typically the least expensive option, it makes the process much more time-consuming and difficult. To eliminate some of the physical and time stress associated with DIY moves, consider hiring professional movers for the most essential tasks, such as loading and unloading furniture, and completing easier tasks on your own.
