Small jobs welcome

"I have done a lot of moves in my life, both within US and internationally, and Kingsley Moving was one of the best. Everything went smoothly and on time, the guys moving me were amazing - friendly, fast, and very careful with my stuff. Loading in Michigan, full truck, unloaded in Florida 2 days later. Also, the estimate was almost exactly correct, even though it was given sight unseen, over a phone call. Highly recommended!!!"

"Perfectly! The crew was polite, fast, careful and efficient. Loaded the truck in 5 hours, taking the exact amount of time in pre-move estimate. Arrived on time the next day and proceeded with a fast and damage-free unload. This was the easiest, most stress-free move I've ever experienced. Mark's price was the best of 5 estimates, his crew the best I've ever worked with. I recommend Mark Bos Moving 100%!"

"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

Customers say: Quick response

"I hired Sam to move my family after researching and dealing with dishonest movers for years. I wanted to get a moving experience that could reduce my stress and provide A professional experience because I had just purchased a new home. Sam and his crew were by far the most professional movers I have ever dealt with and their experience was evident throughout the move. From Sam's advice, which I recommend following to the movers themselves, who averaged 8 plus years experience with one mover who had 30 years experience, this was the best move for my family ever. I will sing Sam's praises!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

The cost to rent a moving truck is $1,000, with a typical range running between $20 and $3,500, depending on the truck size and how far you are moving.

Yes, it’s worth the cost to hire professional long-distance movers. Professional movers will ensure your household belongings reach your destination safely and efficiently—with many companies already having made similar moving trips recently. Also, professional movers have the proper equipment and experience to ensure your move goes smoothly.

You can move a pool table without taking it apart only if you’re moving it a short distance, like from one room to another, and with the help of several people or a professional moving company. But if you’re moving the pool table from one home to another, experts strongly advise you not to move it without taking it apart. If you leave it in one piece, you could risk not only your own personal safety, but also risk damage to the pool table itself. The bumpers could need to be realigned and the slate may have to be re-leveled if you try to move a pool table without taking it apart. In this case, the risk usually doesn’t outweigh the reward.

Planning ahead is essential—this will give you the chance to coordinate your move during weekends or after business hours, and set up essential services in your new office before moving day to minimize downtime. Start by creating a detailed timeline and checklist for every phase of the move, from packing to unpacking. Inform your employees, clients, and vendors about the move well in advance, including any expected disruptions and how you plan to manage them. Delegate responsibilities to ensure all aspects of the move are covered. Lastly, set up the essentials at the new location first to resume operations quickly.

Yes, it is cheaper to move yourself than to hire professional movers. The average DIY move costs $120 to $2,300, while professionals cost $890 to $2,570 on average or up to $12,000 for the longest distances. While you’ll save on the cost of professional labor with a DIY move, you’ll spend more time and energy packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking.
