Russ and his teammate were prompt with a quote and able to get us scheduled on a specific date we wanted. They dropped of a trailer for us to store our garage "stuff" in to keep it out of the elements. Once they started the whole process took about 9 hours. Saugatuck FlooringGreat team! Safety was of first concern! We depended on their expertise when choosing a flooring product for our 1963 ranch purchase. The flooring options that were offered were spectacular. We had to remove all existing flooring and have it replaced. We were living in a hotel at the time (our home sold fast in Indiana) and they were able to meet our needs. Given they also had to replace the full main-floor subfloor (surprise) this required a lot of extra planning and effort. When we were desperate to also include the bathrooms at a later date - they were able to find a product that was perfect and called us in to take a look! They did a custom carpet on the stairs to the lower level (basement) that looks fantastic. I wanted as much exposed wood as possible, and they surpassed our expectations! The LVP in the lower level family room and the office is warm and inviting. Not to mention gorgeous! This is an amazing group of people you can trust with assisting you to make any house your HOME!- Mary F.

Home Maintenance ServiceRandy did an amazing job! Our basement was partially finished. We wanted the drop ceiling removed, walls studded and dry walled, create a full bathroom and closet. This space would become our master bedroom and ensuite. Time wasn't an issue for us but was completed in a satisfactory time frame. The area under reno was kept very clean each day, when we would come home to check out the progress. The master bedroom was framed (over the styrofoam insulation and existing drywall from the 60's) and the entire room got new drywall. Drop ceiling removed and drywall ceiling with can lights replaced it. New bathroom area was plumbed and created to our own design, including a water closet. All new trim throughout. New vinyl plank flooring installed in the bathroom, closet and laundry. Our new space looked amazing when complete and we couldn't be happier! We unfortunately had some water damage shortly after and Randy came back out to do some touch up work for us. We would definitely recommend!! Price was also extremely reasonable!- Amy R.

Jacobsen Remodeling IncThe kitchen floor in the house we recently purchased sagged by nearly an inch in the center. Jacobsen was able to add a beam in the basement to raise it and stabilize it. The supports for the beam were put within the existing walls and the beam was placed on the front edge of a heating duct bulkhead so it did not change the look of the basement. He offered us other options but that was the one we preferred. He was clear about the costs and kept us updated on the process and progress as they worked. His employees did excellent quality work as did the company he hired to complete the drywall.- Jan B.

DEGRAAF INTERIORS INC.Two years ago we had the kitchen installed, soon afterwards one of the planks split and needed replacing. DeGraff inspected and took pictures they said they would get back to us. About a year later we had the living room installed with the same vinyl plank. I requested that the installer fix the kitchen plank , he tried but it is not repaired correctly. DeGraaf came and inspected again, we are still waiting. I will never pay up front again, they require full payment before they install.- Linda B.

We contracted Creekview Flooring in 2020 for a job with about 2800 sq feet of hardwood flooring in our home. The job included installation of new hardwood and refinishing of old hardwood floors. We got multiple quotes but we went with Creekview floors because they seemed the most confident and their google reviews seemed good. Unfortunately, there were multiple things that went wrong. On the second day they were on the job they backed over a walkway with their trailer, shattering some of the slate tiles there. Kevin, the job manager, tried to say it was our fault because the supporting cement was “not to code” (not true, he was citing codes for city sidewalks, eventually they repaired this but it took about 5 weeks). They told us we could pick colors from Bona stains, or Minwax and after buying our own samples of stain colors, we decided on a Minwax color and Bona finish. When they applied this stain and finish, it ended up having a very white uneven finish coat on it, like someone had splattered milk across the floor. They claimed it was our fault because of the color/finish combination we picked. If they thought that the outcome was going to look bad, why would they put this on the floor? They were NO help during the color choice process and didn’t say a thing to us before staining the entire floor. In fact, during the time when we were choosing a color, they suggested a few but when we were having trouble settling on the right color they left, leaving us to mix and apply samples on our own with no assistance. Eventually, they agreed to do the whole job over at no additional cost but when they did the next stain job there was about 4-12 inches of dark areas outlining the walls and door frames. (Google “picture framing hardwood floor”) /. Chris, the owner of Creekview, told us that we did not know what we were talking about and that this was normal when using a dark stain color. He also blamed us for picking a Minwax stain color (even though he had never mentioned any issues with Minwax and encouraged us to look at both Bona and Minwax stain colors). There was stain splashed on the walls, the base of the kitchen cabinets, and doors. Unfortunately at that point we had to part ways with this contractor. Fundamentally there was a lack of communication throughout the entire process. Chris was not involved much initially and it was apparent that Chris and Kevin (the project manager) weren’t communicating with each other as much as they should have. Eventually, when our 3 week job ran over into week 4, 5, and 6, Chris personally got involved but he was frequently very defensive and accusatory when speaking to us. I’m really not sure how it got to that point but it was very disappointing. There’s a lot that happened and I can’t put everything into this review. I waited 2 months to let this sit before writing a negative review about this company but even with that amount of time my feelings have not changed and unfortunately I cannot in good consciousness recommend this contractor to anyone.

It took 3 days for them to respond, requesting me to call via email. The representative was then very clear on company policy / cost ... no free estimates and over $100 an hour for a single worker. The justification was that all their employees are licensed professionals ... but way too rich for me without the ability to get an estimate before hiring someone so expensive.

Andy came to our house to refinish our upstairs living space about 6 months ago and did a fantastic job. The original hardwood floors were in rough shape from previous owner's pet urine. By rough shape, I mean ROUGH shape. Andy sanded, filled, repaired, stained and the floors look beautiful! Would absolutely recommend.

The problem became apparent on Christmas Day. Another plumber indicated that I had more than a plumbing problem and, most likely, needed to hire someone to rip out and replace the existing flooring. Fortunately, I had a second bathroom to use so, despite the inconvenience, the problem did not need emergency attention. Ker, at AllPro responded to my initial call immediately. He came out that day, indicated what needed to be done and provided me with an estimate. I accepted, and within a few days the project was completed (all in one working day!). AllPro did an excellent job and provided me with necessary information and suggestions. At first, I dreaded having a crisis during the holidays but, thanks to AllPro, my worries were few.

My original home is over 100 years old and we have done 3 major additions to it over the 40+ years we have lived here. We wanted the structural work done for the good of the house and outbuildings. We wanted the siding to both make the house look like one completed building and also to make it weather tight. Ed was super to work with. He listened closely the several times we met before i received the detailed bid. He was great in the creative and planning process. He came up with several ways to achieve what i wanted. He explained how he would install the windows to both be very attractive and weather tight. He was patient with decisions. He was willing to hold various types of siding in place so i could get a real idea of how the different options would work. His eye for detail is amazing and his desire for perfection is evident. The woodwork Ed did on the inside framing of the windows is beautiful. He has worked harder than any previous builder to be sure i was happy with the end result. On a day to day basis, Ed and his workers were professional and easy to "live with". They were always sensitive to avoiding more upheaval than necessary for such a long project. They cleaned up every night and left the place as neat as possible. They always informed me of their arrivals for the next day and of any delays. I would definitely recommend Northwest Tile and Interiors for any of this type of work.

Horrendously. Unprofessional is an understatement. Horrific communicators. Took a lot longer than initially promised. We are having a different contractor come fix all of their mistakes. The project manager, Dane, is the only bright spot of that operation. He was forced to deal with the fires that others lit.
