"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

The color of your paint shouldn’t make it harder to apply, but it can be harder to cover in one coat, depending on the surface. Using a good quality primer that’s tinted gray will help make applying your black paint easier. Even with a primer, you will likely have to use two coats to get a perfect, solid black finish.

Take your tool and score the area where the lid meets the can to break through the dried-up paint. Then, use a paint can opener or a flathead screwdriver to pry the lid open and check the state of the contents. For smaller cans with plastic lids, you can run the top under hot water to loosen the lid. 

After painting, air out the painted area for at least 48 to 72 hours by opening windows and using fans, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The process helps disperse volatile organic compounds (VOCs) the paint emits, reducing their concentration indoors. However, in some cases, especially with oil-based paints, airing out for extended periods may be necessary. Monitor air quality and continue ventilation until paint fumes dissipate significantly.

If possible, it is beneficial to paint both sides of your fence to protect the fence more completely from the elements. Painting both sides of your fence will create a more consistent appearance as well. However, the time and cost involved in painting both sides of the fence may cause people to paint only the side they see.

Refinishing wood steps before painting the surrounding walls or trim is the best option. Sanding stair treads creates fine dust that can settle on freshly painted surfaces and interfere with adhesion. Plus, refinishing involves heavy foot traffic, equipment, and potential splashes from stain or sealant, which can damage new paint. By tackling the stairs first, you reduce the risk of damaging painted walls and can more easily tape off and protect surfaces during painting.
