Mr Munoz returned my call and came out the same day to take a look and give me a price quote. He said that the mold stains and discoloration in the grout, which had been there for years no doubt, before I bought the house, may come out with the scrubbing and steam cleaning alone or if not it could be necessary to do an acid cleaning. I explained my problem with chemical hypersensitivity and that I would rather not have any harsh chemicals used but only green, eco friendly products for the cleaning. Mr Munoz spot tested a small section of the tile and grout and the stains did not come out. He said that the steam extraction would take a lot more out and sanitize everything due to the 1500 psi and 223 degree water, but might not remove all of the stains and discoloration. We agree to just do the scrubbing and steam extraction. I decided this was the best choice given my chemical sensitivities and asked if he would use my green product for the cleaning instead of his own eco friendly cleaner which had some fragrance, and he agreed. He went over the method he would use and showed me the truck mounted steam cleaning equipment. I was pleased that the whole process was self contained, the clean water coming from a storage container in the truck and the dirty water going back to another storage container in the truck, nothing had to go thru my drains or septic. The price quote for the utility room and bathroom tile and grout was only 150. I asked him what he would want to also do the carpet. ( I had scheduled someone else to come out to clean the carpet.) Mr Munoz said that since he would already be out here doing the tile and grout he could also do the carpet for forty dollars more, steam clean and remove all stains and spots. I said, that would save me money and time, let's just make it 200 for everything and he said fine. On Thursday August 29 Mr Munoz came at 9;30 a.m. as scheduled. He did a thorough scrubbing of all the grout with a brush, by hand, before doing the steam extraction. He moved the washer and dryer and cleaned underneath and also cleaned behind the hot water tank and well tank. He thoroughly cleaned the bathroom getting all the hard to clean areas, as well as the shower tile. Then after doing the steam cleaning of the tile and grout, he steam cleaned the carpet. The carpet cleaning took out all the spots and stains and the carpet looked and smelled fresh. It took a while for the grout to thoroughly dry in the utility room and bath but when it did the grout was 90 per cent better, looking light now instead of black and dirty. So it was successful and met my needs for a clean, chemical free, mold free living space without using acid or having to have the area regrouted. It actually came out much better than I thought it could, considering the condition of the grout. Everything was clean and fresh after the steam cleaning. They were very courteous, prompt and were very careful digging the lids up which were partially covered by pre-existing flower beds. After they left, we noticed a bit of an oil stain on our concrete from their vehicle. I called the following Monday morning to give them a heads up and they were very apologetic and responsive. I came home and they had come back out and put down some product on the driveway to clean up the oil. I have a 1500 gallon tank which they cleaned/inspected for $210. Digging up two lids cost $25/each. Replacing the outlet baffle was $150. Peace of mind that I won't have sewage issues backing into my home --- priceless. I will definitely use this company in the future. I feel very comfortable and confident in the services I received and highly recommend them.

They were very helpful in figuring out exactly what was wrong with the septic tank in addition to doing the pump out. They provided some information on how I can fix it myself. I would give them an A+ in professionalism if I could.

FAQs for septic tank service projects in Mayville, MI
The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
