Mr. Graham came right away for the check as he lives not far from me. He promised to have a crew come over as soon as they had a non-snow day. Those promises continued despite repeated calls to his office. 13 months later, with a big blue tarp over our foyer and 4 pans collecting dripping water, my AAA Insurance rep advised me to just file a claim and let the insurance company go after R Graham Construction through subrogation. Of course, now the problem is much bigger. There are large stains on the drywall and the wall must be opened up to inspect the insulation. Wet drywall and wet insulation can lead to black mold which can be a very serious health threat. I have submitted many positive reviews to Angie's List and in all my years as a member, this if the first negative review I have submitted. Mr. Graham clearly dropped the ball here and does not deserve your trust or business. (which would have required removing the freezer door and the entire white plastic freezer compartmen liner to access those parts). Mr. Kenney's expert diagnosis pinpointed the problem to the main control board (where its defrost relay was not working) - and this was a far less costly repair. After this repair experience we bought a quality single-outlet UL 1449 Listed surge suppressor (840 joules, < 1 nanosecond response time, 330Vac clamping voltage, H-N, N-G, H-G protection) to hopefully prevent any potential damage to our refrigerator/freezer electronics or motor from power spikes and surges... (we've had a number of power interruptions over the 3 year period since our refrigerator was new and this may possibly have been the cause of an eventual failure of the main control board?); if the surge suppressor works it will be cheap insurance."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/sc/aiken/kenney%27s-appliance-service-reviews-343738.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"New Traditions in Building","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Dorothy M."},"reviewBody":"The builder moved a camper onto my property and lived there during construction. He used my shower and laundry facilities throughout without compensation. He often worked in the home as early as 6am and as late as 10pm which greatly interfered with my daily life. However, the builder did finish the project within the proposed time.Quality Issues:
The builder promised to use an expert for specialized tasks such as installing and restoring the hardwood floors. He did not and the quality of work in some areas is unacceptable. The builder erred in estimating the amount of hardwood causing the owner to "split the cost" of excess flooring. He also bought a more expensive grade and the wrong width of new flooring material without consulting owner.
Kitchen wall tiles are uneven. Never fixed
1 1/2 inch hole accidently poked in outdoor siding. Never fixed. Exterior caulking is unsightly and uneven.
Water in basement. Inadequate drainage around addition. Owner had to pay to rework the french drains, readjust downspouts and eavestroughs; install soffit vents ( building code violation not to install); external waterproofing of basement walls. Extra cost to owner to fix these problems = $10,000 to an independent contractor. Drainage problems persist where the addition joins the original house.
Builder set up work area across from new furnace main intake. The extreme amount of sawdust and debris clogged the air vents necessitating vent cleaning multiple times; 3 service calls to repair new furnace since work completed. Final walk through never completed. Builder claims all warranties of work are voided because owner was 5 days late in paying final $1000 (due to owner's hospitalization).
Final note, owner performed all the "clean-up" at the end of most work days as agreed to save on costs; i.e. sweeping up debris etc. A poor experience overall!

Working with Tim and his team is an easy, caring, wonderful experience; I wish all contractors would be this wonderful to work with. Tim goes Above and Beyond with everything he sets out to do. I have had them remove difficult wallpaper, leaving the room looking new with a fresh clean coat of paint. We had a water leak on one wall in our great-room, a very tall wall with windows. Tim?s team came in and repaired the wall; the wall looks new again with not a trace of the damage. Not only did the painting look great but the spackling and sanding was top notch also. I can always count on Above and Beyond Painting to do an excellent job in my home. Tim was here just a short time ago having his team paint a ceiling,a wall, white windowsills and touchup some of my white woodwork. Tim has an excellent team member (Kermit Westcott) he is excellent in fine details and finishing work. Kermit also touched-up marks on the walls and sanded and painted my windowsills, taking off the hardware before painting and then putting everything back as it was. Tim and his team are always on time, neat and careful, and will keep you informed of daily progress and what they are planning for the next day. Owner Tim and his team are truly dedicated and strive for perfection with every attention to detail. Tim?s prices are very reasonable, but more important the workmanship is High Quality! 4 years after roof replacement, two significant leaks developed under snow load or heavy rain. Began calling Rick Graham in December 2013. I had held out $500 from the original replacement as I was very unhappy about the flashing detail on one side of the roof and predicted it would leak. I...

"I have been unable to successfully engage more than 1 of the "Pros" on Angi for large and varying construction and remodel projects. In fact I have had only one contact me and he REFUSED to accommodate me during initial contact. I have retained the texts that I did receive from him before he shut me out. I explained very clearly that I had special needs that I needed an accommodation for a few initial contacts. Those would be being our conversation through text or email as I could not immediately use a phone. Any common person would look at my request and see that there was something behind the initial contact limitations. He then acted as if I wouldn't be willing to meet in person so he could see the job site to which I stated that an in person contact wouldn't be an issue, just using a phone. Apparently the contractor had more than enough work because from that point on he ghosted me. I attempted to reinitiate contact for almost a month but was never replied to. Not that I should have to ever explain the reason why I needed a short-term accommodation, nor should anyone in a similar situation as I, for contact either through text, email or in person, but suffice to say I have some personal limitations and this experience has left me with the impression that he is intolerant of special needs (aka disabilities). I want others to be aware of this contractor."
