"Jim and his team were awesome. Our experience beginning to end was very positive. They were very respectful, curteous, and the price was incredibly fair considering the price we paid for our backsplash. They even parked on the side of the road and hauled all their equipment into the house because one of their trucks had an oil leak. They just demonstrated a lot of care for our home. We have zero need to contact anyone else any time we need tile work done."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had tried to level my floor, so and ran out of material, which resulted in a very uneven floor. Dallas came in and was able to level it out perfectly, and make it look like I never screwed anything up. He installed the tile and the area was clean. It looks so good. Thankful that he was able to help us."

"We have a ranch style home. We wanted to remove the wall between our living room and kitchen, put in an island and replace the cabinets in the kitchen. We also tore up all of the carpeting on the first floor and put in luxury vinyl tile Our project started by having the opportunity to work with Jenn Sesniak from Blue Bird Designs. Met with Jenn and an hour later she had come up with the design for our dream kitchen. Jenn understood perfectly what we wanted. Worked primarily with Scott from Restoration Plus once the project started. He answered every question we had and more. He was very professional and oversaw all phases of our project in a very impressive manner. The work they did was fantastic. We love our new island, cabinets, counters and appliances. We had Pioneer cabinets installed and they look perfect. Our Paxton counters are more than we thought they would be. All of this was made possible through the guidance and efforts of Restoration Services. We will call them every time we have work to be done at our house going forward."

"I am really happy with my new shower. I had a bathtub and old tile shower replaced. The installers were very nice, however could have been more tidy about the whole thing."

"Our salesman Randy, was awesome at explaining exactly what they do and showing us what they have to offer for the new shower that was installed. The installer called to verify address, and also upon arrival was extremely polite. He explained everything that needed to be done, and allowed us to see everything during points of the removal and installation of the shower."

"I had luxury vinyl flooring installed on my stairs leading to my basement. My experience was positive. My installer Mike was on time, efficient, did a very nice, through, clean job. Consequence of the finished look, asked questions when needed and cleaned up after he finished."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use paint if you want to refresh your tile countertops. However, you must be mindful of the type of paint you use. Look for options explicitly created for tile that are also waterproof and durable. Over time, the paint will chip, so this is not considered a long-term solution for busy kitchens.

Whether you use a brush or roller depends on the size, shape, and amount of tiles. Rollers are easier to maneuver over large areas and can apply a more even coat of paint in a shorter time frame with no visible brushstrokes. Brushes are best for precision work, particularly in very small areas. If you don't want visible brushstrokes on your painted tiles, you can paint details with small foam brushes instead of bristled paint brushes.

Yes, but you should only put tile directly on drywall in smaller areas that don’t experience excess moisture. For example, a small kitchen tile backsplash could work, but installing tile directly on the drywall in a bathroom or other chronically damp area is not a good idea. Either way, a cement backer board is a far more reliable solution, as drywall is susceptible to moisture and can warp or cause your tiles to crack.

You can often find many types of peel and stick tile at big-box home improvement stores. Other places to shop for this type of material include home decor websites, other types of big-box stores, and even directly from the manufacturer. It’s a good idea to order a tile sample first to see how you like the look and feel before installing it.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.
