"I contacted Joe( Joseph Paul Bissell-Maynard ) (BISSELL ENTERPRISES, LLC) last month to take a look at small deck porches on the back of my 4plex. That I owner occupy. Joe came by and looked about a half hour later than he said he would. I took the trouble to trim all of the foliage around the decks. He said he'd give me a quote later that night. Then he ghosted me and won't contact me back. With no word or reason. I don't recommend Joe because he wasted my time when I have a rental inspection deadline to meet."

You might notice rot or fungus on the trunk or that the tree is beginning to lean to one side. Brittle branches or signs of root damage are other indicators that a tree is in trouble. If the tree is dying, it might be time to cut the tree down so it doesn’t fall.

Vinegar is another household item that can kill a tree stump over time. Vinegar’s acetic acid works to dissolve the stump’s outer layer through its carbohydrates. Other methods like stump grinding and applying herbicides work much faster and more effectively than using vinegar.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree. If the tree has been cut down and the stump and roots are left, grinding and removing the stump can cause root decay for some species. For other species, the stump and roots will need to be removed to prevent pests, disease, and possible tree regrowth.
