"Jim and his team were awesome. Our experience beginning to end was very positive. They were very respectful, curteous, and the price was incredibly fair considering the price we paid for our backsplash. They even parked on the side of the road and hauled all their equipment into the house because one of their trucks had an oil leak. They just demonstrated a lot of care for our home. We have zero need to contact anyone else any time we need tile work done."

"Excellent job! They not only did the whole flooring work at my house, they basically renovated the entire place by installing new trims and painting every wall in the living room, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom."

"Janet and her crew did an excellent job clearing out the previous floor coverings and laying our beautiful new LVP. The care taken to place each tile makes our new floors outstanding! I recommend Kurly’s Creation to anyone looking for updated and professionally installed flooring or carpeting."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

The grout shade you choose comes down to personal taste and preference. A darker grout will give you a more dramatic and noticeable contrast with the tile around it; however, lighter grout helps create a more uniform look when blending the colors together. Additionally, a darker grout combined with a patterned tile could be overwhelming to the eye, while lighter grout makes the pattern stand out as the main focus.

It’s best to start with tiling the shower floor before moving on to the walls for the most visually-pleasing results. When taking on any tiling project, you’ll want the wall tiles to “sit” neatly on the floor tiles rather than overlapping them. Finishing your floor tiles first will allow you to place your wall tiles without any gaps, holes, or awkward intersections.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

Yes, even if you’re being careful, removing tile can damage your drywall to some degree. However, you can minimize the damage done to it by eliminating a majority of the grout and taking your time prying each tile off. Also, it's worth noting that you might have more drywall damages to deal with if your tile is set into the mortar.

Natural stone tiles are durable, heat-resistant, and add timeless elegance to floors, walls, and countertops.
