"They did beautiful work on my bathroom. I had several cracks in my tile floor due to rotted wood and they tore everything out and redid it in no time and at a much lower quote and were very flexible. He also came in right at quoted cost with no overages or job delays. They were also very mindful of my cat and making sure he didn’t get out of the house. I highly recommend Mr Backsplash for bathroom/kitchen work!"

"Nick responded quickly, was very professional, knowledgeable and proficient. After our plumber removed the kitchen faucet we found the counter holes were smaller than standard size and the new faucet wouldn't fit. We needed new holes drilled fast. I had used Home Advisor in the past so I started there. InEx Stone was the first company to respond. Nick wanted to help us so he fit us in before his early morning appointment. He discussed the issues and options with us and quickly cut the holes with a diamond drill. The faucet aligned perfectly in the revised hole size and location, which was a tight fit in front of a window handle. We highly recommend this company. They are eager to help people."

Stone Countertops questions, answered by experts

Yes, installing new quartz countertops can increase your home’s value. Updating your counters with a durable material like quartz that will last decades is a great investment.

Caesarstone® offers both quartz and porcelain counters, which are types of engineered stone countertops. Generally, you can expect to pay $50 to $200 per square foot for quartz countertops. If you decide to go with Caesarstone® quartz counters, then you’ll pay $75 to $125 per square foot, which is in the mid-range of what most quartz manufacturers charge.

Additionally, Caesarstone® is typically less expensive than quartzite, which is a natural quartz countertop that costs $80 to $220 per square foot. Depending on the Caesarstone® countertop you choose, you may spend significantly more on quartzite counters.

Epoxy is typically more affordable than granite, especially if you’re choosing a high-end slab. Most granite countertops cost $75 to $145 per square foot to install, with high-end varieties topping $185 per square foot.

In contrast, epoxy countertops cost $50 to $150 per square foot to install. The material costs for epoxy are significantly lower than granite, but installation costs can be higher. Rather than simply cutting granite countertops to size before installation, your contractor will need to carefully pour the epoxy over an existing surface.

While no countertop material is truly “heatproof,” granite countertops are extremely resistant to high temperatures. Some types of granite can withstand temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. However, we don’t recommend placing hot pots and pans directly on granite countertops. Even if it doesn’t scar the granite, it may damage the sealant.

Yes, marble countertops are fairly soft and can scratch easily, especially compared to rival materials. However, most marble scratches are easy to repair, thanks to marble polish and repair kits. Deep scratches will require a professional.
