"<p>We recently had a major landscape renovation done by Dand E Landscape which included the removal of two shrub beds constructed of heavy timbers with overgrown trees and shrubs. We decided to replace the timbers with a block retaining wall, and also replace the porch steps and cement walkway with brick pavers. We were thoroughly impressed with how the project was handled, and more than satisfied with the finished product. These are some of the reasons for my positive review:</p> <p>I emailed the scope of my job to several companies and offered my phone number. Dand E responded quickly, and was the only one to take the time to actually call me. One of the owners came and spent about an hour measuring, asking questions and offering suggestions. He never pushed his services. He apologized for how busy they were, but promised a proposal with two options by the end of the week. He actually called me that Sunday, which showed me he was willing to forfeit his weekend to follow through as promised. He emailed the plans and based on one proposal I gave him the job.</p> <p>The first day, they sent a couple of guys with a skid loader and did a lot of the demolition of the existing landscape and concrete. The next day, more equipment, more people. I was impressed with the number of trucks and equipment they committed to the job. There was constant coordination of material coming and going. Sand, dirt, gravel, block, pavers, shrubs and finally mulch. Everything came and went as needed and without disruption. Their crew was one of the most impressive groups I’ve seen. Except for one break at lunch, they were nonstop for 11 hours a day. I never once saw any of them idle. More impressive, was that they all knew every task, and exactly what needed to be done next without supervision. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the yard completely.</p> <p>The owner was there twice a day at least, and he wasn’t above grabbing a shovel. He was there for all of the critical stuff like making sure the foundation for the pavers was right, and that the retaining wall was laid out perfectly. When they finished, he inspected every inch and helped with the final cleanup. </p> <p>Overall, Dand E Landscape was very professional and a very well managed. "Kensington Contracting did an excellent job. They responded quickly to the original request to quote, negotiated a fair price, provided reasonable expectations for when the work would get done and how long it would take, called a day ahead to say they were coming, showed up when expected, did the work carefully and professionally, and cleaned up afterwards. The tree had large branches over the roof of the house and there were several other vulnerable items to try to avoid, including a buried cable line, a buried dog fence, an A/C unit, a well head, and several large windows. None were damaged. Jeremy and Brent were easy to work with and very personable. I would use them again for other work and would definitely recommend them to anyone else. Great job, guys!show more

"Tim and Henry were very punctual and super nice guys to work with. They wrote a proposal that met my needs and I was impressed with the level of detail they put into the quote. Weather was a challenge so we had many delays getting started, but once the project got into full swing, it went well. They excavated the berm, built a new rock wall and added some asphalt to extend part of the driveway. My only complaint was the seed and straw mat/blanket used across the lawn on my new hill. I was expecting that those would be picked up by LLMG, but I was advised they "disintegrate" over time. Well, they may...in a long time to come, but in the mean time, I have these plastic square mesh pieces scattered all over my yard getting chewed-up by the trimmer and the nylon strings getting knotted around my trimmer and tractor blades. The netting is a huge mess. Had I known, I would have gone with sod or insisted that they pull up the straw matting once the grass was mature. Outside of that, the work they did was excellent.show more

"We called Sinacori and they came out promptly to determine what we wanted, and then provided a proposal, which we accepted. The work was performed per the time frame promised and the results were about five times better that we could have imagined with large rocks placed on the stream bank to prevent future erosion, with fill placed in the low areas near the stream, followed by grass seeding. In addition, they provided a water pump free of charge to assist with watering the grass seed (which came in beautifully). Other work performed included a swale on the side of the house to allow proper eve trough drainage, and on another eve trough drain, a pipe was placed underground to allow rain water to be moved away from the house to a drain field. These are working perfectly. We intend to have Sinacori return for some rear patio work in 2021. We are very satisfied with Sinacori and their professional work, advice, and a very nice work crew. Regarding the work crew: The skills of the heavy equipment operators were astounding to us and our neighbors, as we watched them place stones (some weighing 500 pounds) with precision along the stream bank; after the bank was prepared to receive the stones. They also removed the trunk and roots of a very large maple tree that had been previously cut down by another company, so that we could have grass in the area.
