We are a family owned and operated business. We have recently reduced in size due to the economy from 15 employees to six. Black Diamond Sprinklers works directly with homeowners and businesses in contracting rolls as well as sub contracting through various landscaping companys. Our company accepts cash, check and various charge cards. We also offer financing options with John Deere Landscapes.

Had Black diamond sprinkler out in the fall. The guy that blew my system out also blew off one of my sprinkler heads into the street and a car ran over it. I called immediately to have them come back out and repair my sprinkler which they damaged. The lady told me on the phone they were too busy at that time to get to it so they would be out in the spring. Here it is spring and I'm trying to get a hold of the company to come out and repair my sprinkler that they broke and I cannot reach anyone on the phone to even give me a call back. Would not recommend this company to anybody. If I could give it a zero star I would. Thank you Mrs. Coop

"We’re in the office every day we’re certainly not ignoring you or your call. The sprinkler pictured here is of poor quality and is problematic. In addition to this a likely cause of this popping off during winterization is it was likely not screwed on tight due to various reasons. However we would be happy to install a new one. Our office will be reaching out to you. If you didn’t leave a message on our phone system we would not know to calm you. It appears to be damaged by getting crushed"

I had a full irrigation installed on a new build single family home here in Michigan. There wasn’t any grass and the ground was not frozen and was wet sounds easy enough. Steve came out to provide an estimate and he said he could have somebody install it the next day. Only one employee showed up and was able to install pipe. That was at least done. It soon took a course for the worse. I even gave them professionally designed plans that was created specifically for this house. When I went to go inspect it there was only rotors and no pop-ups as described in requirements. When I asked to change the front yard to pop-ups I received a lot of confrontation and agitated answers from the crew and the foreman. I also requested that the drip line be replaced correctly and they would say they would. I finally gave them a check and they have never come back since to fix the heads or the drip line. No answers from Steve or whoever is the manager. I had to buy my own parts to save my dying sod. I would stay away from them as they are not a professional company.

"I met with this gentleman. He had a generic sprinkler system design made up from Rainbird on the Internet. We discussed his project we agreed to a course of action, and I did exactly as we discussed through the course of our installation he had changed the landscaping plan, which wasn’t completed during my installation so after he changed his landscaping plan, he threatened to give me a bad review if I didn’t make the changes he deemed necessary He did approve all the work I did when we completed this job after we left, he started wanting to make changes at my expense and that was not part of our contract. He was very difficult to deal with if there was a website I could post a bad review on him I would surely do that, so other contractors would be warned."

Scheduling was easy, Alex and Victor came within 1 business day of scheduling. Team was very knowledgeable and explained all steps. Very reasonable pricing, total cost $420. I highly recommend Black Diamond Sprinkler.

I hired Steve because in the past he had helped me getting one new zone added. This time I wanted to add 4 additional sprinklers heads. I was quoted 80$ per sprinkler head. However I ended up paying 110 per sprinkler head. On top of it I was charged 55$ for the visit to give me an estimate. I always had the visit charge waived if I give the service to them and that is how it used to work all the previous times. This time the person was adamant and demanded the additional 55$ charge. I would not recommend using them.

"This customer was charged additional for things that were unforeseen during my initial visit to add the sprinkler heads. We’re not talking and absorbent amount of money here. This customer just peers to want to find something to complain about he was charged fairly."

Recently had a new system installed and winterized a week later due to colder weather drawing near. Had a few days to play with the system. Discovered a punctured line the next day which was quickly resolved at no cost (warranty). The owner Steve is very friendly and speaks to you as a person rather than a company trying to sell you something. Very happy with the service performed and the price. Will go back to Black Diamond for all future maintenance.

I expected the job to be $200, and it wound up being $800. It wasn't their fault at all, but the company that re-leveled our driveway damaged part of my system, so a whole section of the system didn't work. They did a really good, and will be using them in the future.

After replacing one "misty", one rotor, 2 lines, broken ball valve, and repairing vacuum breaker" all of which cost a total of $285.00, my sprinkler system would not work. Each time they came back (3 times) there was always a different issue. After the third time, I was informed that the timer needed to be replaced and I needed four new heads which would be an additional $285.00. Needless to say, I was not pleased and was told there was no way of them knowing that after all of the repairs were done that the sprinkler would not work.
I was not eager to spend additional monies and still end up with a sprinkler system that does not work!

"We set the timer to run in the morning at which time we would not be there to see if it starts. We can only assume the timer will start once programmed. Almost never do we or I'm quite confident that any other service company would adjust the timer to start by itself while we are there. It would be a manual start. She has a old sub par sprinkler system and believes because we "attempted" to start it that everything should be good. She was not a very nice person to start. She just bought a house and it is not my fault the sprinklers were put in by an armature with parts bought at home depot or second hand. The timer was junk, the electric valves were junk, the breaker was broken, and the heads were too. Unfortunately the repair snowballed and she couldn't afford to spend another 100 or 200 dollars to finish the repairs so she thinks this review will help her somehow. I didn't even try to charge her for additional time it took me to find that the timer was bad or installing a new one timer that I had to take back out because after I installed it her valve outside would not close. I offered to collect my new timer and call it quits with no additional charges"

I had a pipe and wiring cut for our sprinkler system. It was a pretty simple fix which I expected would be done quickly. Since it was peak-time, I only got an appointment after a week, which was OK with me. A person from Black Diamond sprinkler system finally shows up during the day of the appointment. My wife shows him where the wiring and pipe were cut. The person starts digging up a hole to figure out where the pipe was cut. After all the digging of the holes, he says he does not have the pipes nor the tools to fix it then. He was going to leave with the holes still open, but I did not let him leave. So he fills the holes back and says his owner will call to confirm on the details for the week. It has been three days but I have yet to hear from either of them. The person came and like that, he's gone. I called their office three times. Once I was able to reach a lady who took down my number and said the owner would call back. Nothing till now. Maybe my work order was too small !! Totally unprofessional company. I would stay away from them at all costs.

It went well. We changed companies with our winterization last year. The gentleman who came out on both days, one to fix the pipe and the other to replace the sprinkler heads and check the sprinklers, was very nice and efficient. He explained everything to us and was knowledgeable and quick. Prices are reasonable and we will use them again each year for this same service. We are happy with the service they provide.

The installation went very smoothly. Two days after our sprinkler system was installed, we had new sod put in. We left for the part of the holiday weekend and returned Sunday to find two small areas of our yard were not getting enough water. I placed a call to Steve and within a couple of hours he came to our house to adjust all the sprinkler heads to ensure our large investment was protected. I feel like this type of service and commitment to their product is a rarity these days. Steve has come by a couple times himself or sent out one of his crews to make the necessary adjustments and even added a sprinkler head in an area I felt needed more thorough coverage. Thank you for caring about our landscape and grass investment.

I have used their service for many years and have always been more than satisfied. At first they were not sure how serious it was
or if there was more than one hole (I had just had the lawn thatched). Thankfully it was one hole caused by roots from a tree.
Digging the hole, repairing the line, replacing the dirt and lawn and getting the system running took only one hour.
This provider has always been friendly, professional and punctual

The entire crew and office staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. The work went exceptionally well. Our irrigation system was installed at the end of the year so there was no time to pressurize the system before winter. I asked if they would come back next spring and turn the system and set the zones. He said they would.
I called the first week it was nice enough and they were out that week. They pressurized the system and set all zones. They also worked extra hard and came back several times as the landscaper had buried many of the sprinkler heads. The crew was diligent in ensuring my system was working properly and I am appreciative.

Black Diamond did a nice job installing my sprinkler system. Steve Black, the owner, came right away after I called and provided a quote. The quote matched a quote provided by one company and it was much lower than two other companies. The job was scheduled very quickly and I was happy I didn't' have to wait long.
My yard has two trees, one of them is very, very large. The roots from these trees are dense and are underneath the entire front yard. Because of this, the project turned out to be a challenging one for Black Diamond. They had to work extra hard, but they completed the project on time. The yard suffered some damaged in certain areas because of all the roots that were removed. Black Diamond seeded those areas and the grass has grown back.
