"It isn't done yet, but the construction manager is not being cooperative about some details that are very important to us. His comments on the material and timing for staining the deck are not consistent with information from lumber experts I know."

"We had storm damaged aluminum siding replaced with vinyl siding. This was done during January and we were cautioned that work would be performed weather permitting. Of course, all of the snow and rain arrived and it took longer than expected to be done. However, the work was top notch and workers extremely courteous and aware of maintaining a clean working area. Once the weather cleared the work was completed in a matter of days and upon inspection everything was done met our expectation. Very favorable follow through my management and workers. Highly satisfied and enthusiastically recommend them."

"Vinyl Sharks came highly recommended from a co worker of mine after having another contractor absolutely destroy our house. Not only did they make everything right, they did it in a timely manner and for the budget we had discussed. I would highly recommend this contractor as it?s hard to find honest and dependable contractors."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"A few years ago we had Smart Roofing put on a new roof and was very impressed with the quality and professionalism done. Richard was great to do business with so we contacted him again when we wanted siding done. Again, we were impressed with the quality of the product, installation and communication. Every step Richard communicated in a promptly manner. The team he assembled were very professional and mindful of our vegetation in our yard and when the job was completed they did a thorough job of picking up the siding debris. The team communicated through out the entire process and their timeframe of completion. I was very glad they inquire if we wanted our old light fixtures/outlet covers to go back or if we had new ones which I went out an bought new ones immediately. Smart Roofing made an impression that my neighbor used them and had their roof replaced in one day!"

"Working with DG Construction was great experience. The guys were all very professional, and there craftsmanship was impeccable. We had them tare off and replace our siding, new windows, doors, gutters, replace our old deck with a new one. They also put in a custom cedar ceiling in our out door porch. Greg and his guys always had a charismatic attitude and aimed to please."

"Brandon responded the same day I called with a visit to look over the project. He provided visuals and samples of the roofing products and explained the GAF roofing system. He answered all our questions, and we signed a detailed contract at a fair price. His crew was able to start the next week. Brandon calls and texts kept me informed of when things would happen, so there were no surprises. I had roofed my house myself two times in the past, and this crew of six took care to do a quality job. They protected the windows, siding, and deck and did a great job cleaning up. I am very happy I went with Harlow roofing."

Siding repair costs $870 for an average homeowner. This cost could be as little as $75 or as much as $16,000, depending on your existing siding material, repair type, and damage level. For example, for basic siding repair, you can expect to pay between $2 and $16 per square foot for materials and labor. However, if you have extensive damage or for more expensive materials like stucco, that price jumps to $4 to $50 per square foot.
The cost to replace siding for your home is $11,450 on average. But siding replacement can cost up to $40,000 or more, with the largest expense being your chosen material. For example, for a 2,000 square feet house, the average cost of siding materials such as vinyl is between $9,000 and $14,000. Wood siding is a little more expensive, ranging from $16,000 to $26,000. However, for the same size house using brick or stone, that cost jumps to $18,000 to $100,000. When choosing to replace your home’s siding, it’s essential to consider your climate and longevity.
The length of time your siding will last will depend on the siding material and your climate. It’s important to remember that proper routine maintenance, like twice-a-year cleaning, is vital to help extend the longevity of your siding and to avoid replacement before its expected lifetime ends.
Vinyl, aluminum, and wood siding lasts 20 to 40 years
Fiber cement siding lasts around 50 years
Brick and stone veneer siding lasts at least 100 years
There are several different types of siding available to give you the home exterior of your dreams. Each type of siding has its own cost factors, estimated lifespan, and benefits to fit your needs. Some common siding options include:
Vinyl
Wood
Aluminum
Fiber cement
Brick
Stone and stone veneer
Stucco
If you want to stay environmentally friendly, wood siding is natural, recyclable, and renewable. However, if you’re looking for a durable siding option that is more resistant to dents and scratches, brick or stone siding is your best choice.
There are certain circumstances where your homeowners insurance might cover the expense of siding repair. If you have siding damage due to extreme weather, a natural disaster, a fire, or a hail storm, your policy might fully or partially pay for the repair or replacement cost. However, most policies will not help pay for repairs due to general wear and tear. It’s best to review your homeowners insurance policy for full details on what may be covered.
