"BEWARE— Originally thought we hired LAGO tree service who was recommended by niece who was happy with Nick & LAGO’s work & told me to talk with Nick They were in the process of changing names to A&P due to nasty family divorce so when I called fast talker promise them anything Adam answered said he was working for Nick He was out immediately to give bid Paid FIVE THOUSAND cash making the mistake of trusting they’d come back as promised and finish the job Got their $3K estimated job — They NEVER came back to finish—no call— nothing —husband should’ve NEVER trusted they’d be back but because our niece had a good experience with LAGO we didn’t question the fact they had no business letterhead to write estimates when explained the whole divorce thing Number we had now has GUY on other end claiming he’s not affiliated anymore and company is now P&A If you call P&A get EVERYTHING in writing Do not trust Nick or Adam if they’re with this company that has changed names three times now — that alone are big red flags We are seniors on fixed income— Recently talked w/lawyer and weighing our options but they totally screwed us…had given our neighbor an estimate and never followed up with them either. The best tools for tree removal include a chainsaw for large trees, an ax for notching and cutting down small trees, and a wedge to help control the direction a tree falls in. A hatchet can be useful for very small trees, but won’t be effective for medium to large trees. 

A dead tree should always be cut down, because it could fall and cause injuries or damage, and it can also attract insects like carpenter ants. A tree that’s diseased beyond repair should also be cut down, but it’s not always easy for a homeowner to tell. Probably the most cost-efficient way to remove a tree stump is to use Epsom salts, which help accelerate the rotting process making it easier to remove by hand once nature has taken its course. Burning a tree stump doesn’t tend to cost much either, but is a riskier DIY method.
