"Would hire this team again in a heartbeat. I got a late start on calling for services this year and every other place I called was booked into late spring next year. I called Asphalt Express and had someone out to give me a quote within hours PLUS the work was completed within 6 weeks!! Loved being able to communicate via email/text - very convenient. Crew was professional, on time, quick and neat. Will certainly be using them for seal coat next fall."

"If you want the best in the business, then hire Austin Brick Pavers for your next landscaping project. From start to finish, the team at Austin delivered an experience that focused on our needs while being attentive to any last-minute changes. If you're looking for a team that focuses on design, quality, communication, and creativity that leads to an exceptional customer experience then look no further than Austin Brick Pavers. "Here’s a polished 5-star review you can use or customize: I couldn’t be happier with the sealcoating job done on my driveway! The crew was professional, on time, and paid great attention to detail from start to finish. My driveway looks brand new again with a smooth, clean finish that really boosts the curb appeal of my home. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure everything was done right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality driveway sealcoating and excellent customer service. Definitely a 5-star experience!"

"The project turned out wonderfully! Our front garden walk and fountain area were transformed; they were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They were able to level the area in order to divert pudding water away from the house. The end result was beautiful! We have since moved almost an hour away and have called on them once again to give us insight as to how to transform the garden areas and walkways at our new home."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

To adhere pavers to concrete, you can use either mortar or a concrete-specific adhesive. For border pavers, a polyurethane-based adhesive is a good choice as it expands and contracts with temperature changes, keeping them firmly in place. For the non-border pavers, polymeric sand is used between the joints to prevent shifting. In most cases, it is also recommended to lay a permeable sand layer below the pavers to ensure proper stability and drainage. Before starting, always take the proper preparatory steps for a professional result.

Box fill refers to the maximum number of conductors that can be contained within a wiring enclosure box, as well as the total volume of the components. Determining the allowable number of conductors in a box requires adding up the number of conductors, clamps, support fittings, devices and equipment, and equipment grounding conductors to make sure you’re within the allowable volume.

Your city or county will have guidelines about the minimum and maximum width and length of private roads. The average private road is 12 feet wide, and length, of course, depends on your property. Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.

The most common causes of sunken pavers are poor base preparation and insufficient compaction. The problem could also be how your pavers were installed. If the soil beneath your patio or walkway wasn't compacted, it will pull pavers down as it settles. Additionally, using bare soil instead of making a paver bed with compacted gravel and sand can cause sinking over time. To fix sunken pavers, consider recompacting the base and addressing any drainage or erosion issues in the area.

Paving is a part of hardscaping, so all paving is hardscaping, but not all hardscaping is paving. Paving involves laying down concrete or asphalt, while hardscaping can also include the use of paving stones, bricks, gravel, wood, and more. Hardscape features that involve paving are considered permanent and will increase your property taxes, while some other hardscaping features—like those involving bricks, gravel, and paving stones—will not affect property taxes. Paving also typically requires a permit, while hardscaping features considered temporary will not.
