Once they get your money, they don't care. Very friendly with big promises, until , they've been paid. Totally different attitude. Will ignore you, wont respond. Looked great until a heavy rain came. Thats when you realize there is a little lake formed. All it would take is a little more asphalt and grading to make it right. They've got your money, and your on your own with the "lake".

I would highly recommend stoneyard landscape center to anybody out of Birch Ron. They are simply amazing people to work with. Go above and beyond your needs to make you happy and if you have any questions or need answers to anything they are doing. During the process, they are happy to answer them and adjust how they're doing the job to meet your needs and to make your job a wonderful experience. Their performing and will adjust anything that you may not like. They're doing to make you happy and satisfied fully in the job.They're performing for you.I It was truly a wonderful experience. They got the job done in 1 day. They regraded our driveway added crust concrete in the holes and also added another driveway off to the original one towards the home, it all looks a plus The work they do is just simply amazing. They're very friendly people. I would highly recommend anyone That's looking to have any of the services they provide especially a driveway Being regraded or gravel added crush, concrete or crushed ash. Fall, they do it all they're the best. Thank you guys very much for the wonderful driveway and the great work. You did, you're very appreciated.

The loose gravel driveway we had was greatly improved with their Stonecrete product, Ted was true to his word. Kevin crowned the driveway immaculately and the stonecrete is holding together very well. They were great to work with. Highly recommend!

Stoneyard put crushed asphalt in my driveway. They left it high in the middle and I ended up with a lake everytime it rained. They were unresponsive and I paid some else to correct. I do not recommend them.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Stone Yard Landscape Centre, and I am extremely disappointed with the outcome. My primary concern is that a pipe be installed to allow proper water drainage on my property. The pipe is only about an inch underground and can be seen protruding from multiple places in the dirt, which indicates that they did not bury it deeply enough. Their response to my concerns was dismissive when I first contacted them. In their explanation, they claim it is normal for the pipe to be visible after the dirt has settled. This illogical explanation demonstrates their lack of accountability for their work. Michigan minimum depth for drainage pipes is 12 inches underground, so leaving a poorly buried pipe is unacceptable. I was assured that Stone Yard Landscape Centre would send an individual out with additional topsoil within a week to cover the exposed spots. Despite this, it has been over a week since Stone Yard Landscape Centre has yet to show up. My frustration is further aggravated by their lack of punctuality and disregard for their promises. My entire experience has left me questioning Stone Yard Landscape Center competence and professionalism. As a result of their poor workmanship and inability to promptly resolve the issue, my property is unsightly, and its drainage system is potentially compromised. If you expect reliable and satisfactory results, I strongly advise against working with Stone Yard Landscape Centre. They offer subpar craftsmanship, and their customer service is disappointing. Find a more reputable and reliable landscaping company to save yourself a hassle.

I have used this company before and will forever use them! Daltson is a man of his word. Him and his crew are very professional, friendly, and get the job done. Daltson spends time with his customers and is very informative throughout the whole process and what is being done. The best part I no longer have standing water in my yard. We Highly Recommend Stone Yard Landscape Center!!! See you all in the spring when its time to have my mulch delivered!!!

You give this company money up front for down payment, which is normal, then they want more money upfront, even before you can see if they are capable of doing the job. I told Dalton that I was not going to write 2 checks, and that I would be home all day, and that I would give him a check when he came out to make sure the job was going well. So when he called, I was in the shower and didn't hear my phone, they had packed up and left! This guy thinks the world revolves around him, he needs to learn about business and customer service!! I don't pay 2 down payments, the first one was fine, until I can see if he can do the work. I was even willing to pay the full amount before the job was done, which is against my policy! I would not recommend this company at all, I still don't know if they were even capable of doing the job, since they really didn't do anything!!

"We get 25% down as a deposit to get into our schedule. Then we get half the balance when we arrive with the material, crew, and equipment to perform the work. Then we get the remainder when we are finished with the work. It is clearly written on the contract that Jay signed and normally discussed with the customer while being signed. Also, Jay called a couple days prior to having the work done complaining about the price and we also talked to him the night before we performed the work and it was reaerated and re-agreed too that he would have half the balance when we arrived. We then arrived the next morning with all materials, crew, and equipment and we waited 45 mins - 1hr for Jay to produce half the balance which he refused. We have kept this payment policy for many years to protect us from dishonest customers who often like to negotiate the price and scope of the job after the work has been completed (for example also trying to add extras). Now like listed above he already complained about the price after we were hired so there was no guarantee he was going to give us what he agreed upon unless we kept to the payment schedule. In our professional opinion in this situation and many others our payment schedule succeeded in protecting us from dishonest customers who do not abide by agreements. We wish Jay would have followed through with his end of the bargain but he did not and we lost a day we could have scheduled different customers work which is a very big deal when need every nice dry day we can get for the work that we offer. P.S. This page does not allow us to post pictures so for anybody questioning any of the facts mentioned we have plenty of pictures of us being there and our signed contract. Beware of this customer!!!"

Dawson contacted us and came and fixed the problem right way, even after full payment was made and he didn't want to leave until we were happy. Hired Dawson over Memorial weekend. He said he was 2 weeks behind, had to keep calling after the 2 weeks, he had a break-down and couldn't come on the weekend. We were at our property and this was about one month later. He then indicated that he wanted us there when he did the work and we told him that we would be there the week of the fourth of July. Tried very hard to get a hold of him again, was told that he would start working 2nd of July. On the 4th of July an employee was moving sand and top soil in the area they were going to grade. Nobody after that showed up and was told that he needed the dozer and it was at another job site and couldn't be there. We told him that he wasn't going to get paid until we could inspect the work and he showed up when we weren't there and wasted a lot of our material by pushing it into the outskirts of the work scope. They should have up the sand first to grade and topsoil second but they mixed both and wasted. When we were back at the property we called to let him know, we answered and kept calling because he wanted payment and indicated he would come back in August to fix. After threatening to put stop payment on check he came back within 10 minutes with stidsteer and tried to fix but still unhappy with work. We are heading up using our 3 day weekend to fix. Hope our back yard doesn't still get a lake of water in the back.

We hired Daltson with Stone Yard November 8, 2017. We had a question and texted him on November 16th and he said he was on vacation and would get back with us. He got back with us the following Monday regarding the question I asked. He said they will be out within the next couple of days. On November 28th I texted him back asking if he had any idea of when he was going to be there, he responded hoping the following Saturday and will be based on the condition of the weather. On December 2nd said they had a break down and had to reschedule on the 4th. On the 4th they called and said they will have to reschedule because it rained. At this point it would have been continual rainy days so my sister and I discussed it and decided to cancel the project since this was not going to go anywhere soon. We called Daltson and cancelled on 12/4/17 along with asking for a refund. He said okay, so we waited for the refund it never came so we called to see what happened with the check and he said he will get back after checking with the secretary because the check was already sent out. Then we never heard from him. When we tried calling it would keep saying mailbox was full from there that's when we called their office and didn't get a call back so we called HomeAdvisor. If it weren't for HomeAdvisor we probably wouldn't have received the check which was received yesterday (1/17/2018).
