"Would hire this team again in a heartbeat. I got a late start on calling for services this year and every other place I called was booked into late spring next year. I called Asphalt Express and had someone out to give me a quote within hours PLUS the work was completed within 6 weeks!! Loved being able to communicate via email/text - very convenient. Crew was professional, on time, quick and neat. Will certainly be using them for seal coat next fall."

"Here’s a polished 5-star review you can use or customize: I couldn’t be happier with the sealcoating job done on my driveway! The crew was professional, on time, and paid great attention to detail from start to finish. My driveway looks brand new again with a smooth, clean finish that really boosts the curb appeal of my home. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure everything was done right. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality driveway sealcoating and excellent customer service. Definitely a 5-star experience!"

"Tarek was great to work with, he listened to what I wanted done and didn't try to oversell. He does, and is capable and creative. He got to the project very quickly (which means I have use of a previously "dead" area while the weather is nice). Logistics were impressive, because they needed to bring in heavy machinery,, yet they got everything completed in a day -the choreography was flawless. The crew was amazing - they knew what they were doing, they were meticulous about every detail, and worked REALLY hard. There was virtually no cleanup for me to do (except spread a little mulch around the patio area). They are artists in their work, and the project was worth every (reasonably priced) penny. Two thumbs up!"

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

To ensure you hire a reliable and experienced paving company, you should start by finding companies in your area that have at least five to ten years of experience working in your neighborhood. Next, rule out companies with poor reviews online or a series of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Since driveways affect your curb appeal, you should also ask each company for references and pictures of recent work to make sure the work the company does is professional and high quality. Finally, check that the company is licensed and insured.

If pavers are uneven but not sunken, lift the affected bricks and check the bedding sand underneath. In many cases, simply smoothing out or adjusting the sand is enough to level them. Add or remove small amounts as needed, then press the pavers back into place and tap them with a mallet until they sit evenly with the surrounding surface.

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. Additionally, rainwater or water from sprinklers can run under the edge of an uneven paver, causing erosion. In a freeze and thaw cycle, trapped water under the paver can cause the problem to worsen by shifting the stepping stones around. Use a bubble level to make sure the ground under each paver is as even as possible, even if the nearby ground is uneven.

Compared to options like concrete, asphalt, and pavers, resin driveways are far more flexible. As a result, they are more durable against chipping and cracking. Their bonded surface allows them to withstand extreme cold and heat without succumbing to the warping or cracking caused by freeze-thaw cycles. In addition, resin driveways are easy to clean and maintain.
