It could not have gone better! They are an amazing company -ethical,on time, value driven, and a mission on insuring total customer satisfaction. They are talented problem solvers who can and will find good solution for any problem or project. They also stand behind anything the do! They are creative and totally attuned to the customer's needs and wants. I can not say enough about the quality of their work and how concerned they are that you are happy with what is being done! Everyone of their employees and sub contractors follow the Casa Pro lead for perfection! I recommend them for any project large or small and if you are lucky enough to get them - you will have a wonderful result . A number of friends of ours who have visited and saw the major renovations they did- could not believe the quality of what was accomplished .

After contract and $20,000 deposit paid and big promises made, they became very unprofessional and rude. It took 8 months to "complete" work. Dead River informed me that their propane work to kitchen was not to code and instead of fixing it John Chase himself told me to hire someone else to bring it up to code. I had to hire separate company to purchase and install countertop yet he still expects me too pay him for counter install! Work not complete and he he already talking lean! He also tried to bill me after floating laminate flooring was installed and included on contract.

My husband and I were planning on a major home remodel of our 1980’s ranch and were looking for a general contractor to take on this project. We met David Maurice at a home show in Portland in the spring of 2014. We were impressed by David’s past projects, his responsiveness to our questions and needs, and his professionalism. David partners with an architectural designer who we used to create several design options for us. David helped us work with these designs and had valuable suggestions, resulting in a hybridized architectural plan for the remodel. Using this plan, David generated a very detailed written proposal for the project, and we hired David to start work in March, 2015. The project entailed raising the roof of half of our home, enclosing an existing porch to create a mudroom, adding a full farmer’s porch, and building an addition on one end of the house. It also involved the installation of heat pumps as the primary heating source for the entire house. New windows, flooring, trim, painting, and doors; vaulted ceilings; a remodeled kitchen; and major electrical upgrades and lighting were all components of the project. We were able to remain in our home during this work because David constructed temporary partitions so that we had a private living quarters. This was essential to keep our busy family operational during the months of construction with minimal interruption (and dust!). David was very respectful of our living space and always kept the property neat and clean during each phase of the project. David worked with the Town of Cumberland to obtain all necessary permits and inspections throughout the project. He also communicated any change orders in writing, as issues were discovered or as we made other decisions about the project. The change orders were clear and detailed and helped us track our budget. David is a perfectionist and a problem-solver. His work is of incredible quality and attention to detail. His finish work is beautiful. We trusted David with his expertise and opinions on every facet of the project. When he discovered that one of our kitchen cabinets was the wrong size (and would have delayed the completion of our kitchen by weeks), he was able to re-size the cabinet and keep the project on schedule. We are thrilled with our newly remodeled home. It is such a pleasure to live in the beautiful spaces that David created for us! Many of our neighbors have commented that our house looks brand new and beautiful. The house is finally energy-efficient, well insulated, warm, and with lots of natural light. We are appreciative of all of David’s talents that went into the remodel, and we are happy to provide this reference.

Crew arrived on time every day. Worked hard and took only two breaks during the whole day. Job took a half day longer than estimated but they wasted no time.

Excellent all around! I couldn't be happier to have worked with Chuck Hugo on this major project. He has a sensitive and well-educated sense of design, and by listening to me, was able to integrate my needs and preferences into a well-planned, flawlessly executed re-design of my entire ground floor. He also went above and beyond to integrate the design of the interior to connect with and relate to the exterior landscape. His eye for detail and strict adherence to top-quality craftsmanship sets the tone for what a design company should be.

We had worked with Mike previously, he designed a house in Meredith, NH for us on Lake Winnisquam. That project was a home run for us. He was on site , on budget , on time and spot on with the design. this time was a design for a shed/greenhouse in ME. he asked numerous questions, asked for many photos and generated 3 drawings for the shed for us to choose from then gave us the line drawing for the constructiuon.

Dana was the first of 3 contractors I contacted to get back to me within a day of my search. He was pleasant and professional during our conversation and I asked if he would come to my house and give me an estimate. He did, his estimate was reasonable so I asked for a contract. Dana went above and beyond simply installing my new cabinets. He informed me of some issues , how to resolve them, and gave me recommendations for other contractors I would need to complete my kitchen project. He was prompt, his crew was friendly and they took care to not make more of a mess than was necessary. They also cleaned up nicely afterward. I would surely go to Dana for any of my home improvements going forward and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, capable contractor.....which I can attest to are hard to find!

I cannot say enough great things about the redesign and renovation of my attic. The old attic was semi-finished; roof panels were sagging. It was dark. This redesign and renovation was incredible. I should mention that the entire process began because we needed repairs on the roof. As we began talking with Matt, the owner of the business, we started talking about how the attic could look. That talk was transformative. Matt drew up some designs for us. We started looking at designs online at sites like Houzz and This Old House. We talked about these designs and ideas with Matt, who is, by the way a great communicator. He listens to your ideas and he talks about budgets with you. Well, the next thing I knew we were adding skylights. Then we renovated the interior of the attic. That renovation included adding new electrical features--recessed lighting, ceiling fans, and track lighting on the stairs. The ceiling was re-finished with wood paneling. The highlights, and it is really difficult to choose because everything is so beautiful, were the built-in bookcases along the stairwell and the glossy refinished floors. Matt's workers were great, too. They showed up when expected. They were respectful and incredibly clean. The project took a bit longer than we expected, but the results were worth it. We have a beautiful finished attic. We use it as a study. It is so luminous. We spend lots of time in the attic now. The attic has become the favorite room in our house. I am looking forward to doing more work with Matt. I recommend him without reservation or hesitation.

I performed all of the prep work (including cement pads in basement and post up from basement) and he simply spec'd and installed the beam along with the posts to hold it in place. When I proceeded to the next step of installing strapping I discovered that the 19'6and quot; beam was 1.5and quot; out of level. That much of a slope would have been very noticable when installing kitchen cabinets and finish moulding. I will not be using him again, and am disappointed that I found him on this site with a good rating.
