Apparently, the work needed was minor (to him... would have taken me a full day, with a trip or two to the big-box-store, and a couple days to recover), and he gave me a price that I didn't even need to pass by Mrs. B. I said 'go' and an hour later the work was done and explained fully to me. I've rarely been this comfortable with a tradesman (other than my Father-in-law, may he rest in peace).
