We are two months into the project, and working with David has been great so far. I hired him initially to do a structural inspection and evaluation prior to making an offer on the property. We got along from the start so it was an easy decision to hire him to do the job after we made the purchase.  He's very attentive to keeping us informed, which is really important as we live 4 hours away and can only get by the property about once a month right now.  David is very good at sending pictures and emails so keeping up on a frequent, sometimes daily, basis has been a breeze. In addition, we can follow progress on his Facebook page! David has a good eye and his experience means I can trust his judgement and recommendations on everything from design to materials to actual construction.  I've met most of his subs and they are all first rate which really makes us confident that the project will be everything we are looking for. Here it is end of April and the main part of the project is approaching completion. House is looking great, very much what we envisioned almost a year ago. David and crew were able to work on the interior over the winter and now that the weather has broken, they are rapidly finishing the outside. Some landscaping and retaining walls left as well, but we still should be on schedule for a May 31 kickoff for the summer season. If you care about quality and good service, David is the guy for you. It continues to be one of the best relationships I've had with any contractor, and I've worked with a bunch of them!

As with our painter, David was a delight to work with. Because of the scope of the project he very fairly charged us materials plus labor and his rates were very fair. David communicated very well via text and email what his schedule would be like, given that the exterior work was weather dependent. The project took  longer than anticipated because the extent of the repairs were bigger than he had expected. Despite this,  David re-arranged his schedule so he could finish things in time (the porch rails) so that our Christmas light company could come in and put up our lights on time. David's work is meticulous and careful and things were left clean every day. He even vacuumed my carpets after installing the windows!
The overall experience can be summed up as follows: we will be establishing a long-term relationship with David to help us maintain our home's exterior and interior. I give David my highest recommendations for building, repairs and carpentry.
