A simple household cleaner and a soft washing cloth is usually enough to clean these areas when grime builds up. Adding a layer of lemon oil or beeswax can help prevent finishes from wearing off.

How much cheaper it is to replace your cabinet doors depends on your needs. If you’re looking to spruce up the look and feel of your kitchen, then you can make cosmetic adjustments to your existing doors, like installing new knobs or a fresh coat of paint. Cabinets can be some of the most costly parts of a kitchen remodel, but if there’s structural damage regarding your doors, then replacing them is your best option.

The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.
