Very Pleased. Extremely professional. All work done in a timely manner and done as agreed. I would not hesitate to hire Bart Martindale to do future work.

Once construction was started, someone was here every day. The workmen were unfailingly polite and hard working. I even had a neighbor comment that a worker asked if he could park his truck on the road in front of her house. Bart, the owner of the company, constantly kept me in the loop, explaining what was going on, and letting me know of possible difficulties that might arise. He also has contacted me after the job has been completed to make sure that I am happy with the work and to remind me that I have a one year warranty.

I can't say enough good things about Bart and his crew. Top notch professionalism. The quality of the work was outstanding. They worked with me to bring my vision to fruition. I had them use reclaimed barn wood from my property for custom cabinets. They built a beautiful loft space and bathroom addition (900 sq ft). The project total was supposed to be around 50,000 but they came in 1,000 dollars under budget! I would highly recommend Martindale Custom Carpentry and Renovations.

Wow! what a great work crew led by Bart, the owner. Bart and all of his crew were very pleasant, personable, cooperative and worked hard to meet all off our expectation.The work came out beautiful. Everything perfect to our requests. We had new flooring laid throughout the house and they moved everything around with ease and put it back where it belonged. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Mixed. In the end, they were very dedicated to creating an excellent result. To start, we knew that our small job would be fitted in, but were promised that when once started, it would be completed in one to two weeks. Bart, the owner and main contact was excellent with his advice for design and selecting all parts and tiles. We bought those ASAP, to be ready when they were. They had some problems with another job the proved much more complicated and time consuming than planned. Bart's family had a new baby during the period, As a result, we started months late. After starting, a subcontractor who was very nice and seemingly competent, made some mistakes and also took several days longer than expected with the tile work. There was some confusion about the shower door parts that set us back some more days. Overall, it was 6 months from order to completion, but we were out or our shower for only about 4 weeks. Final result was excellent and I know they had a much difficulty as we did. There were problems that they are not likely to make again.

We were just wanting to get ideas down on paper at this point, so we are not planning to hire someone to build it until a year or more from now, but Bart was very friendly and professional and helped us get our vision for the entry space and also gave us an estimate of costs if we decide to hire him to do the construction work. Excellent experience!

Quite well

I talked with several designers before finding Bart Martindale. Bart was the only one who actually listened to my needs and came up with a design to meet them. He recommended flooring that I didn't know about, as well as the shower door. His crew - Eric, Brian, Tom and Dustin - are great, willing to do whatever needed, as well as being professional and friendly. I was also impressed with the subcontractors. There were some delays, the majority of which were not Bart's fault. He was always upfront about them and did his best to correct them. We would hire Bart and crew in a New York minute for any future projects.

His work is first class and he followed up until we were totally satisfied. He finished with a week of when he said he would do mostly to a delay in getting some of the tile we ordered. His recommendation for all hardwood cabinetry was spot on and he accompanied us to many of the venders to help us make our choices. He even made a beautiful cedar barn door for us.

We did full renovations of two 5'X8' bathrooms, removing old tubs and surrounds to accommodate a soaker tub in the master bathroom and a shower in the hallway bathroom. The projects took longer than we anticipated due to completing first one bathroom then the other. Removing the popcorn and repairing the ceilings took additional time, as did waiting for a cabinet skin. The end results are two beautiful and functional bathrooms with outstanding workmanship and quality. Bart was very easy to work with. He listened to our needs and wants and was responsive and determined to see our visions for these bathrooms to fruition. He quickly returned phone calls and texts, and followed through to make sure our concerns were addressed. He also worked closely with us to keep the projects on budget, using materials that were of high quality and within the scope of his proposal. I also want to commend his crew for their superior work. I am delighted with the craftsmanship, especially with the tile work in both bathrooms. They kept the construction mess confined to work spaces and I appreciated the effort they put in cleaning up thoroughly before leaving each day. I recommend Martindale Custom Carpentry and Renovations highly and would not hesitate to work with them on any future renovations needed in our home. We are enjoying our two beautiful bathrooms and couldn't be more pleased with the results.

He did the assessment and we thanked him for it. He seemed to do a good job, but there wasn't anything he could do. We used his advice and hired somebody who could do it. He came out a couple of weeks after I bought the Big Deal.

He was pretty flexible in terms of scheduling it. I didn't like that he couldn't do the work, but he was honest about it because it was something he couldn't do. The interaction was good and the assessment was thorough. He went back and forth to see if he could figure out how to do the work himself, but finally said he couldn't do it. I was happy with the work and happy with the assessment. If he was able to do the work, he could've got a higher grade.

He was punctual.

Bart was very responsive. Called within a few days and made arrangements to come out. He did a very thorough analysis of the area including climbing up in attic to verify if load bearing walls. bart is very knowledgable and articulate. He provided a number of options with full computer image drawings for us to consider that would fit within the space we had to work with. We are still looking over the options and deciding when we want to get started with the work but are extremely pleased with what we have already.

The bathroom turned out amazing! Once we agreed on the work I gave Bart the door code to my vacation home and let him have complete control. Bart even pulled the permit so the complete project was turn key. We mostly communicated by text message (my choice). Bart stayed on budget and used the wood from the extra closet he removed for the window to build the vanity, mirror and bathroom trim work. If you're a remote owner in Wolf Laurel looking for a contractor you can trust to turn loose on your property this is your guy. We're going to bring Bart back when we're ready to remodel the kitchen.

Bart Martindale was an excellent choice.  From the very beginning he was very prompt and professional.  He sat down with us and went over all the details of his proposal and laid a nice foundation for open communication.  He made the permitting process very smooth. He was able to start before the date on the contract and arrived on time each day.  He always filled us in on what was happening in the process and let us know if the hours would be different.  He and his crew were friendly and personable and worked efficiently each day.  He helped us with design ideas and worked with us to get us the bathroom we wanted, giving us sound advice throughout the process.  His quote was one of the lowest we got and he came in under budget in the end.  We appreciated his honesty, fairness, and professionalism.  We will definitely use him again for home renovations.

Martindale Renovation constructed a 12' x22' sunroom addition with entry deck on the south end of our house. The cost was appx. 10% less than the bid of another construction company.
     Bart's foundation work, floor decking, framing, roofing, window installation, outside wall siding, inside wall paneling, painting and finish floor installation were all plumb, square & level and met all applicable codes.
     Bart took the time to give us constructive suggestions on our project.  Bart's quality of work was noted by subcontractors and a relative who does multi-million dollar construction across the US.
     Bart is authorized to give our contact number to a perspective customer.
     In summary, we are very happy with our new sunroom and thank Bart for his quality work.
