FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. "Very well. Needed a water heat within 4 weeks (so I didn't need to buy more oil and it was installed in 10 days from initial contact. Delivery and install timely, professional and they were very careful to manure the water heater carefully through the house and down very narrow basement stairs and around corners. They listened carefully to my requests, confirmed and kept me informed. The install and plumbing was professionally done and quicker than expected considering the running of new copper lines. Re the post below: I also had hot water off the furnace and was planning on shutting the furnace down. They told me they'd leave the furnace connected to make sure everything worked and was running properly because it took 2 hours to get the water to temperature. When you shut a furnace down you should know that it'll take a service call to start it up again. (It's not a car). I shut mine down 72 hours after install and hope to never try and have it restarted! :-) PS Heat pumps rock! My only criticism is they did not tell me anything about the warranty. I already sort of knew but the paper warranty included with the manual would seem to be all you need when you actually have to go online and register it. Some people wouldn't know that. They did explain/show where the filter was and how to clean it. The office staff was helpful even though I called multiple times for info. Like everyone right now they are swamped with calls and new business and short handed at times. Overall ery happy with my choice of companies!"

"Repair Clinic sent me a water intake valve that had some scuff marks and an unnecessary fixture (which I thought nothing of, assuming it had been removed from a new dishwasher). When the part did not fix my dishwasher's issue, I ordered a circulation pump, which also failed to fix the issue, so I decided to return both parts. Repair Clinic blamed me for the scuff marks and extra fixture, which is unacceptable. They referenced their return policy which states that parts which have been installed cannot be returned, and denied me any form of refund. For all I know, the water intake valve was defective, and I have no recourse. Don't put any stock in the "No-Hassle 365-Day Returns" they proudly tout on their homepage. Instead, expect finger-pointing and uncaring dismissal. You are better off with one of their many competitors."

Some signs that your dishwasher is going out include:

  • The door no longer latches

If your dishwasher is not energy-efficient or is older than 10 years, you should also consider replacing it. Repairing an older model may be more expensive than replacing it with something newer and more energy- or water-efficient.

Installing a dishwasher should take one to four hours, depending on the complexity of the installation and whether you DIY or hire a pro. Even if you're particularly handy, installing a dishwasher on your own will likely take longer — at least two hours. On the other hand, a professional can likely install a dishwasher in about an hour. Installation time will take longer if you have to remove an existing dishwasher, reroute plumbing, or repair damaged flooring underneath the appliance.

Not all dishwashers are 60cm wide, but that tends to be the most common size. 60cm translates into roughly 24 inches, with most home dishwashers being between 22 and 24 inches wide. There aren’t metrics available but it’s been our experience that over 90% of household dishwashers in North America are around 24 inches wide by 24 inches tall.

To get rid of standing water in your dishwasher, first try activating the drain mechanism by pressing and holding the cancel button for at least three seconds. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to do some troubleshooting to drain the standing water from the dishwasher. This will involve shutting off the power, then scooping out the water, cleaning the drain filter, and clearing the air gap. You’ll also want to run the garbage disposal and check the drain hose for clogs.

The most common reason for a smelly dishwasher is a dirty dishwasher filter. The filter is responsible for catching food while your machine is running to prevent clogs. Over time, that filter gets more and more filled with food particles. Cleaning your dishwasher filter monthly can keep the smell at bay.
